Sportivo springs on a 05 Levin

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how 2zz sportivo springs would go on a 05 Levin with std shocks.

I don't want to lower it as this is a daily driver and lots of speed humps and steep angle driveways around my area.

So I was thinking of just fitting sportivo springs as road reports say the sportivo handling is much better than that of the std 1zz corolla.

I know the sportivo shocks are probably better than std but I just want to know if the sportivo springs are better/stiffer etc than std springs.

Are you after factory 2zz Sportivo springs? Or the Sportivo option spring?

The factory spring will not lower the car, the option spring will. But it's just cheaper to buy King springs then Toyota markup.

The struts and rear anti roll bar are also different between the two models. The 1zz came with the better rear anti roll bar. Sporitvo came with the better struts.

i think the question is what benefit in fitting standard sportivo springs to a standard model corolla?

i don't know but would be keen to know

Thats correct, I don't want lower it so was wondering if the stock sportivo springs would be better than the std Levin springs.

It just that lately I have noticed a few people selling their old stock sportivo springs and wondered if they would benefit my Levin.

I think it would be easier to go with lowering springs, it will give you much better handling over any stock sportivo springs, the sportivo springs from what i know are only marginally stiffer then the corolla levin and below models, so go with some lowering springs, it will look so much better, and feel much better too B) cause stock stivo springs are higher then our stock corolla springs lol

i have measured the gap lol :P

For those who are interested Terry Shields at Parramatta had a set of the optional sports springs for the ZZE for $250 instead of the normal $450 (or whatever) last weekend
