99 Camry XLE v6 - My alarm stopped working?

unless you have a retrofitted alarm, then that is just the central locking and engine immobiliser activating. the horn chirps are simply an audible certification that everythings good. not sure if its the same in a 99 model, but turn the key to ignition and off 3 times within 5 seconds without starting the car. you then beep the horn once, and the indicators should flash. this turns the horn chip on and off

whether or not you have the horn chip activated doesnt compromise your cars security system
