The only problem is that it will not line up to any of the holes and will be a very tight fit with the pod filter and foggies

That only applies to the TRD cai which has a larger pod..

He just stated the cai for the Matrix from that year period

you will have to modify the body where the hole is behind the headlight. the back edge of the hole where the pipe goes through has to be bent down to clearance the CAI pipe. No matter the brand as the facelift headlight has a large back on it that protrouds out a lot towards the hole and space is limited.
