I'm thinking about replacing bulbs with LED ones. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with these.

eBay LED's are a hit and miss. Some last, some don't. They are relatively cheap though, so I tend to stick with them... even if I have to replace one or two after a few months.

Also, don't get those T10 repacements that have just one large LED; the ones that Repco and the like sell. They are fairly dim, and will not be satisfying. As for the colour, I'd suggest sticking with white. In my photo, mine look rather blue. In person though, it's actually a pretty clear white. It also appears as bright as the original bulb when looking at it. Due to the characteristics of LED's however, it doesn't project as far, but the visual intensity is there. Just be aware that if you use an LED that looks more blue than anything else, the police might not approve of that as it says on the Queensland Transport website that blue lights are only allowable on emergency vehicles.

are you using them for taillights? they have their benefits but i'm not satisfied with the look. i prefer the spotty look of the leds like on the aurion or impreza. just need to find led reflectors to pull it off.

Auto Electrician sell them and i think places like Repco and auto barn. I would avoid ebay.

While we're here I'd like to know about LED replacements for the dash? Specifically the tacho and such, in my 'Seo the green is so.. eh. White background and black text in the day, would only make sense to make it White text and black background in the night. Do they have direct replacements are this type of thing? Because i'm not sure about the type of socket they have =S

Cheers~
