Hi guys,

I'll be installing some 6 inch splits speakers into a yaris hatch over the weekend and i was wondering if i need spacers when installing them or can i get away with using the existing speaker housing? Also where do you guys with yaris's mount the tweeter?

Thanks

thanks for the pics. So is it possible to install 6 inch splits using the existing spacer from the old speaker?

hey mate,

yaris rear speakers r 5 & 1/4" where as the front ones are 6"

Im not too sure if they use spacers for the stock, caz im pretty sure its just pre-drilled holes in the door pannel.

but yeh for rear speakers u needa buy 6" spacers, and most likely needa drill more holes to fit the speaker n spacer.

does ur yaris door rattle??

my rear door rattles like crazy when low bass plays. its near the door clip (where the door lips on to hold the door from opening or simply baby lock area)

No, you'll have to make space's as the factory speaker and spacer are one piece

You can fit 6.5" Speakers front and rear of the yaris. All you have to do is cut out the paper cone of the stock speaker and use the stock speaker spacer to mount your new 6.5" speakers in. So no need for MDF spacers, unless you want to keep the stock speakers.
