  1. Well, I would like to take it out on a race track one day, so I that is my reason for getting a Moroso sump.
  2. The gain is better reliability and that the aftermarket oil sump is baffled. The stock OEM sump for the 2ZZGE is NOT baffled which is a problem because oil would move to one side, causing the oil pump to suck up nothing but air.
  3. Sometime next year, I want to fit on a Moroso oil sump: https://www.moroso.com/toyota-lotus-elise20970/ and the only question I need to ask: Should I fit on the new sump under the car, or should I get myself an engine stand?
  4. I've contacted Vic Roads and they said that as long as the aftermarket big brake kit is vehicle specific, not universal.
  5. Oh, Vicroads. Well Of course I could contact them about it.
  6. What do you mean by ‘State Motor vehicle Transport Dept’?
  7. I am thinking about getting a Stoptech big Brake Kit for my Celica SX. Could someone clarify to me on whether big brake kits are road-legal or not?
  8. My Toyota Celica SX DOES NOT have any Climate Control lights and I have tried ordering them online and they had none in stock! Part NO. is 8402020040 BTW and also comes with some sort of circuit board, but I really only want the globes and sockets. Could someone please help me out somehow? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for replying and sending the PDFs but I actually wanted the Australian version of the 2000 Celica Owner’s Manual, not the American version. Sorry that I didn’t mention that earlier.
  10. When I bought my Celica last year ago, it never came with the Owner’s Manual or the Repair Manual. Any ideas on what I can do about it? (BTW I want the Australian version of the 2000 Celica Owner’s Manual.)
  11. Yesterday I have been in the process of fitting in my AEM Cold Air Intake, and I seem to be stuck on the VSV FOR Canister Closed Valve part. And below is my Cold Air intake without the VSV for CCV attached on the mounting tab, because I could not find it anywhere in the engine bay. And so I put on a vacuum cap on the nipple of the inlet pipe where the 10” hose is meant to be placed. If I can’t find the VSV for CCV, is it mainly because only the American versions of the 7G Celica (GT and GTS) have them? Or otherwise, where is the VSV for CCV in the Celica SX?
  12. Ok I forgot to check how old that post is, but anyway do yo still know if Green P-platers like me are allowed to have a Cold Air Intake fitted in anyway?
  13. So, I got myself an AEM Cold Air Intake system for my 2000 Toyota Celica SX, but I am curious to know if I am allowed to have this mod on while I’m on my Green Ps. The VicRoads Guide to modification for motor vehicles says: ‘air filter (including pod-type air filters) on EFI vehicles if there are no other intake modifications, all sensors remain in place and the filter is a dry (non-oiled) type’ is classed as an ‘Approved Modifications’ and then someone on this Forum Page: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1772537 said: “IN Victoria, it states that P Plates cannot drive engines with modifications to improve performance. That is open to interpretation. Technically you are modifying the air intake system, not the engine.” So, I’m basically modding the intake system, and of course the exhaust, and nothing else. So, is it illegal for P platers like me in Victoria to give my Celica those two Mods?
  14. Oops, I didn’t word the entire statement right. Disregard that. I was meant to say four lock nuts for four wheels, so sorry to confuse you.
  15. Tomorrow, I'm going to get some news tyres fitted on some aftermarket wheels. I also need a set of four lock nuts per four wheels and I need to figure out what size lock nut suits my 2000 Celica SX, can anyone help me out here?
