My wife returned home the other day after filling her 2001 rav4 up with petrol.

She parked on our drive which has a slight gradient.

the next morning when she went to her car there was a strong smell of petrol, it had leaked from somewhere around where the filler cap is

And i mean leaked a fair amount

I am going to have a closer look tomorrow and was wondering is there anything that it is likely to be? ie a common fault?

have searched online but have not found anything as yet,

any help greatly appreciated
