Handbreak and drums :(

Ok well i need to get my handbrake fixed as i could drive with it on if i wanted for a certain amount of time without knowing. So that said its fookd and i cant even do a standstill burnout thats how sad it is... and i know my drums have to be replaced so that will get done but how hard is it to re tighten the e-brake unless its just i kind of having nothing really left on my drums? that im moving? Also it sucks when my brake booster is gone so my brakes are under alot of more pressure now??? Poor gearbox is copping a beating going down gears to slow down (automatic). Could this be really affecting my brakes all round with the booster gone?
