1989 camry car oil

hey just wondering how much you guys are paying for a 1989 model camry - 5Litre engine oil ( the oil container thing - ).

i'm paying $30 for the oil in a container from a shop. is this a reasonable price or am i getting ripped off. thanks

Different brands and oil grades have different prices...

$30 is a pretty moderate price for 5 litres of oil.

as Rolla Boy mentioned, depending upon the brand and quality prices do differ. for example, some mobil 1 oils go for around $130 for 5 litres

toyota lubricants and fluids - petrol and diesel engine oil - 20W-50 SJ/CF - 5L specially forumulated for toyota vehicles

Well I guess that price is alright considering it is coming from Toyota.

But next time, there is no need to get Toyota branded oil. Just go to an auto store and pick some up from there. Will cost the same or cheaper if you are just after oil like that. LOL, I remember using Pennzoil GT Street Machine 20W50 on my Camry. Was like $28 for 5 litres. Wasn't anything great, but it was oil.

Most places though usually always have specials of some kind. If you are just after your basic oil, you'd be looking at $15-30 for 5 litres on special.
