hey all driving to work, sub cut out, then in the arvo on way home it started working again

1 week later, it died and hasnt worked since?

how can i test the RCA's if they are working out of my deck?

also i tried switching amp channels and still not working.

i got power and earth and remote, amp is turning on, protection hasnt cut in

is my best bet to park my mates car next to mine and put his rca's into my amp and see if it work, if it does then my deck is rooted?

if still not working then my amp is rooted?

i got a earthquake amp 4ch, and JVC deck, with 12" MTX sub.

don't have model numbers etc to share sorry.

help much appreciated !

First thing you check would be..

Have your fuse for the sub amp blow? check your fuse though...

Check when you turn on your radio, and see if the amp turns on, if not, check your Remote wire

I dont think it would be your RCA though, if it is, you can test it on your mates car like you planned

Before rooting around with anything complicated or time consuming try this ..

To test if the wiring (RCA etc) is ok plug in either another Sub or Speaker to the existing cable. This will confirm if the power output is travelling to the sub.

If the speaker or sub works it eliminated the rca and deck fault.

Then you can focus on the SUb , the connectors and the cable within the box.

This will be my 1st step..

remote is fine, amp turns on and off as it should. no protection activated just power on
