UP 10 Publica

G'day,

Would be interested in hearing from anyone that has a UP 10 , also known as a Publica, or Publica 700 perhaps?

2 door roughly 700 cc air-cooled Toyota that was imported into Australia between about 1960 and 1965,

from my understanding, not that many were sold, as they did not really suit Australian conditions, so this model was withdrawn from the Australian market after just a few years and I imagine there are not that many left,

Ordinarily, they ran a Toyoglide 2 speed gearbox. I am not an expert on this model, but I am about to start a restoration on one, so if anyone collects them, would be good to have a yarn about it

Hi Dave,

I have had one for 37 years. Still going strong. Getting another one soon. Willing to help with info maybe some parts, but these are hard to get hold of now days.
