Hey guys,

Ok so i have a 91 SX Celica with a failed fuel pump. A new part was ordered today out of the book at Repco (arriving in morning), which was a 38mm pump.. ive just taken the old one now now im home from work and of course its a 51mm pump..

Now.. the specs say its capable of happily running a 2.2L engine, so im thinking thats not going to be a problem, however, can i swap out the 51mm one for the 38mm model without too much drama. the structure around the 51mm makes it looks like it should come out easily enough, and the 38mm one looks like it has a plug connector on top, but the new one comes with the socket as well so i should just be able to swap the leads no drama and outside of that it just looks like the base that might be the issue - but ive not laid eyes on the 38mm pump so have no idea.

Has anyone done this? I need this car running tomorrow and if there is a way to make this work i need to know it! :)

Thanks guys, ill be checking this all night!

If you are kindly inclined please mail me at info@thegadgetcentre.com.au or drop me a quick text (telstra) 0459 159 270

I appreciate it fellas.
