Corolla - water under front and back seat

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and seek some advise for my 2004 Corolla Ascent

The recent heavy rainfall in QLD caused lots of damage and so does my car. Although I live in Brisbane and did not affect by the flood, I still noticed that there is some water get underneath the seat carpet, and this only happened to the right side (driver's side) both front and rear seat. I do not know how the water get under the carpet and initially thought this maybe caused by the air-con pipe blocking. But after a diagnosis from Toyota dealer, it was not the problem. The dealer said the water came from small leakage area in right side boot and flood between the carpet and chassis, it is a matter of quality!

I still can not believe its quality issue but will anyone please advise what I should do.

Find where the leak is coming from (which you have already done), then use some sillicone to seal it. You might actually have a broken rubber boot seal or something, so you might want to check that out. This is the first time I've ever heard of water leaking in a Corolla... it's more alas a Holden Commodore thing LOL.
