Will a ZRE stereo fit in a ZZE Corolla?

My ZZE stereo is cactus and I want to stay OEM, would like a ZRE unit to have mp3 functionality, 6 discs etc

Does anybody know if this is possible? I'm unsure if opening is same size and rear plugs are the same.

Yes... I've done it to my ZZE. :)

Though mine is the TomTom follow me system introduced with the ZRE.

Mine has a 2010 yaris headunit :P Its plug and play :)

90% of Toyota double din units are the same and are interchangeable between models.

This of course does not apply to cars like the aurion/camry who's headunit is not a std double din size/shape
