brakes fail

my caldina gt-t brakes now and then go hard and donot work propley and when that happens the car pulls to 1 side when you brake. and i noticed yesterday the front passenger wheel and the back drivers side wheel was hot, does any 1 know what may be the cause ???

The inbuilt redundancy in braking systems will have the systems on diagonally oposing corners. If the pedal is going hard (solid) I'd be guessing the vacuum assist is playing up. Where these two link, it might be that the issue is with the other two corners not getting hot as they aren't being used as much. Does the car pull to the passanger side?
