While I'm not mechnically minded, I really feel that I should be able to change a blown indicator bulb. The problem of course is that I can't. In order to fix this problem I'd love it if someone could tell me if I can do this without taking half the front end apart? The flippy headlights seem to be rather in the way of getting at the indicators from behind.

Easiest way is to look at ur vehicle's manual mate, there should be something there about replacing blown bulbs, what celica do you have? I've got an st162 sx, 86 model, for mine you have to remove the top part of the front bar that has the "celica" on it, should be 3 screws on top and there'll be little wedge clips you'll have to push and rotate, then there's a screw for the side indicator (do it while the headlight is popped up, easier access) then remove and replace the globe accordingly, install in reverse order.
