Sportivo: Speedo cable & Odometer

Hi All,

It is illegal but I know speedo cable could be unplugged from older car preventing odomoter from clocking up mileage while driving.

Do Sportivo uses speedo cable, or computer reading for the Speedometer.

I saw a low mileage Sportivo, but Im not certain whether the speedo cable had been unplugged before?

Again, no previous service history :(

I tried all the plugs on my gearbox and none stopped speedo if anyone know how to stop mileage I would be interested!

Just buy another instrument cluster for the car and use that instead of the one with the low mileage on it........

Mate of mine did it to his Fielder wagon, brought a instrument cluster with high mileage from the wreckers and drove with that in his car until it was time for its wof, he then swapped it to his low mileage one, he got away with it easy. Hes sold the car now but I feel sorry for the new owner though, the actual mileage of the car was 170k, but he put the original cluster back in when he sold it and it had 70k on it

Okay

There is no sensors on the gearbox for your speedo

It's in your abs sensors in the front wheels... Speedo picks it from your abs module

No cable here buddy...
