Hi to everyone,

I have a 1998 Toyota Chaser Tourer (JZX100) Japanese import and drives really great. Unfortunately the driver's side mirror does not operate as expected. When the retract button was pressed, the mirror would opened however the motor would grind for about a minute. The sound is noticeable and very disturbing. This does not happen when the mirror was retracted to a close position.

Has anyone come across this problem? Is it a DIY job or one better left for the professionals?

Your advice is very much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Aomoro. Amten
