Hi there,

I've been trying to figure out what the scrapping noise is on the front left tyre is...

I thought it might have been warped rotor disks, so I changed them and the brake pads.

But it's still the same... The rubber boot isn't worn or split, there's no movement in the wheel bearing...

Seems to be catching a one point in the wheel rotation, can't hear it when it's jacked up... So it makes it difficult to locate.

I've topped up the trans fluid with Lucas Trans Fix... Didn't make any difference...

Any idea's? Don't want to drive it too far if it's going to do more damage...

My first suggestion is take it to a mechanic and describe the problem. Either something is stuck or worn out.

PS, please dont hit the post button multiple times....I've had to bin 4 post regarding the same topic :)

I have a similar problem; L/F wheel scraping noise with road speed. I took it to the mechanic and they of course found nothing. It has had all new rotors and pads and shoes but I think it's the brake disc rotor so will have it machined. If its not that I can only assume it is a problem with the wheel bearing/hub assay
