Just thought I would say hello...

This is my second Toyota Camry... my first one was passed down from my partner's parents and we drove it for about two years. 3 days ago the engine started mixing water and oil after 355k and so the hunt for our next Camry begun.

As this is a daily I didn't want to spend too much $$$ on it. Ended picking up a '07 Sportivo 2.4l - Had low K's and it was in good nik. I've noticed that many of the Altise models had missing log books or half filled out service schedules whilst on the search for my Camry, most of them were business or fleet vehicles, I stayed away from them and found this example with full log books owned previously by some gentleman in Sydney.

All checked out fine so after about 2 hours of negotiating I the shook the dealers hand and put down my deposit for a cyber green sportivo with sunroof and the usual sportivo goodies.I even got a $1k trade in for the old girl so the deal was sealed, the mrs liked the colour too, which was a bonus!

I have owned a few modified Holdens, currently have a Honda S2000 which I have owned for 6 years. It's got some nice mods but I don't get to enjoy it as much as I used to, mostly take it out on windy roads and give it a quirt to take the cobwebs out.

I am planning to do a few mods on the sportivo, but nothing too extreme, hopefully I can take out my sportivo on a Toyota cruise somewhere and meet some of you.

Thanks guys! :)

I picked up my new grocery getter ...... Drives really nice and it big and roomy, pretty good first impressions, not enough POWR though.

      1zz-fe engine rebuild

      Hello all, Working on my 2002 corolla. It needs a engine rebuild due to burning oil out the back. It has over 400,000 km on it and I havent looked after it. Everything is still original on the motor. The only thing that I have replaced, was the brushes on the alternator. They were completely worn out. I am pulling the motor/gearbox out of the car. Wont know the condition of the block or head until I strip it down. I know the design of the piston where changed in the 2003+ models for more oil holes, which stopped the buring of oil. 1. Was there any other changes made ? 2. Does anyone know of where I can get a engine rebuild kit for 1zz-fe motor in australia ? 3. I have only found one place that I can get a new short motor built but that is in the USA and they do ship to australia but was hoping to find something in australia Thanks for help. Dragon

      2007 Corolla Sedan rear seatbelt question

      Hi everyone, new member here. I've got a small problem which I'm hoping you can help me sort out. I've read the "read me first" thread and done a forum search so apologies if this ends up being a repost. Ok, so I've just has a bloody mouse chew through the rear seat and half (but only half) of every rear seatbelt. Which is nice. So I need to replace them. The problem I appear to have is that none of the local breakers have any suitable vehicles that I can pull them from and the ones I ordered and was sent from the bay of fleas has the wrong brackets on, despite being allegedly for that vehicle. Further searches come up with every seller showing the wrong bracket, so either I've got a special car which is different just because, or (more likely) they don't know their ****s from their elbows what they're selling. I'm after some aftermarket ones as they never get used and just need to be there to get through rego so don't really want to spend a heap of cash I don't have on genuine parts if I can avoid it. I've replaced the centre one (a mate just randomly had it in a box in his shed, which was handy) but still need the left and right. I've attached the bracket type I pulled from the car and need. Is this a standard generic Toyota seatbelt or specific to the 2007 Corolla sedan? Does is need to be specifically for the rear left and right or do front ones fit? Does anyone know where I can source an aftermarket pair? I will really, really appreciate any help offered with this, I know my way around a box of tools but very little about mechanikicing (which is part of the reason why I bought this car - something simple to learn on as repairs/replacements become due) and this is a simple fix which is turning into a drawn out headache.       Hi all, Wondering if anyone has had this issue. I recently purchased a 2007 200 series landcruiser, and the amplifier for the air con unit stopped working. Part number 88650-60D60. (Looks like a circuit board) All controls for the air con now do not work, very frustrating in winter when you dont have any way to unfog your windscreen. Toyota have informed me that they no longer produce this part, and there is nothing superseeded to fit in it's place. My question is has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? I have got onto an auto sparky who has had a go at fixing the circuit board but its unserviceable. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Engine oil dipstick reading

      Hi guys, Probably a silly question... I'm having trouble reading my engine oil dipstick on my Toyota Hilux 2010 3.0 Turbo Diesel. I have warmed up the engine, turned off for ~10 minutes, parked on a level surface. Pulled out the dipstick, wipe it and insert it back to the bottom and carefully lift it up. I tried so many times and the two sides always look different. I couldn't read it. Maybe I just don't understand how to read it. Could someone help? Thanks a lot!!!

      Landcruiser 13B Engine Swap

      Hi I’m not shore how you went with this project but on a whim how did you go and do you still have the old 13b engine as I have this car and the engine failed looking for options cheers
