Greetings all. I am a newbie here so gidday to all. I bought an old girl, a 91 petrol dual cab. A bit battered but a great truck for knocking around. I have a major starting problem. When she has been sitting for a while, i.e several hours, she is a bugger to start. I initially thought it was the choke as you can smell fuel. After a good five minutes worth of trying she will start to catch and when she does start I have to sit for a few more3 minutes otherwise she spits and f**ts when I try to power on. I am thinking that maybe the fuel pump might be a culprit too. Does anybody have any ideas/suggestions? I dont want to put a match to her as she is worth her weight in gold when she is going. Any thought will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
