Lower door rubbing strip side moulding removal.

Hi all got a problem, I had a low life force the top of the front door on my 96 V6 Camry. I was lucky enough to get a second hand door in great condition and in colour from a scrapie. However, the outside door moulding half way down the door panel is crap, scratched up a bit but it saved the door. Now I have swapped over the doors and all the trim, glass etc, but I can't see how that trim strip comes off.

According to the ToyoDiy site the strip has three clips one at each end and one in the middle. But not wanting to damage the strip off the old door which is 100% how the hell do you get the thing off. On the inside of the door it looks like a push connection and in a cross shape but I can't see how it can come off?

Any help would be very much appreciated. Ian (from the old world)
