Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone can tell me whats the highest and lowest diff ratio that

can be purchased for a hilux or hiace diff? or any diff that would bolt into the housing.

I have a 4.1 , 4.5 and 4.8 ratio.

thanks

It really depends on the diff housing. I have an RN46 with G142 diffs (4.875 gears) and apparently nothing will fit it, in terms of changing gears with that centre. I was able to bolt a KUN26 centre into the rear housing (3.58 ratio) with minimal fuss, just the usual pulling of brakes, axles and new bearings while they're out. You can buy similar gears from Mark 4WD but you will need to change the diff centre regardless, any diff centre with gears 4.5 or higher should be OK to do this with.
