I have a 2007 Rav4 CV the other day driving home (gravel road) I lost control & started fish tailing. I was NOT going fast & the road is in pretty good condition I have been driving on this road for 10 years. has this happened to any one else? Is there something that I should look at with the car? Have taken it to Bridgestone, tyres are all in good condition.

Hi,

Although this answer is very late and you've probably sold your Rav4 by now, I'll give my answer as helpful information to other members.

If the road had many rutts and the rear of your Rav slides sideways to the left or to the right (but not one way then the other). Either one or both of your rear shockers have failed.

Have them replaced ASAP. Use Toyota Genuine Shockers (I tried Pedders and they hardly lasted 12 months)

Regards, Leigh
