Hi everyone,
I recently installed a sub into my boot (Corolla AE101 CSI) and I have been going through the car eliminating all the rattles. The last remaining one is coming from a black box in the boot with one way flaps, which according to this site (http://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/gr/1997/corolla-sed-cp-wg/ae101r-aemdk/5_151330_028_/body/6102_roof-side-ventilator) is the "roof side ventilator". Does anyone know the importance of this part and if i need to keep it functioning, otherwise i will just silicone up the flaps.

Thanks

It's the relief vent to stop air pressure building up in the cabin (if the car was perfectly sealed the fan wouldn't work properly, for instance)
