Adding factory reverse camera to factory sat nav unit

Hi,

Does anyone know whats required to add the factory reversing camera to the factory sat nav headunit? I believe the blanking piece for the camera is already there above the license plate but not sure if you can just get one out of a wreck and plug it straight in? I would assume also it requires some sort of trigger detection for when the car is in reverse

Thanks

the factory unit is a 12v unit most aftermarket are 6v. There is a grey comector behine the dash where the head unit fits - that carries the power when reverse is engaged.
I'm swapping out of factory into the aftermarket now and it is REALLY painful. I've decided to tap into the reverse lamp power - but in the process shorterf the reverse light (silly me) - but I cannot find the fusebox under the glove compartment - any ideas??

 hi mate

Cheers for that,  the fusebox is hidden by a plastic cover behind the glovebox, remove that and you'll see it way up behind the glovebox by the cabin filter.... let me know if you can't find it?
