Hi,

I have a 2002 2.7l petrol toyota hilux here that needs a new gearbox.

the previous owner found a w56 from a prado and said that it should go straight into the hilux. I drove 8 hours to get this gearbox only to be told by my mechanic that it wont go in? I've seen in other forums that people have put these into htier hiluxs. So I'm just wondering if anyone here has any answers? Should the w56 go straight into the hilux? Or have I just wasted a bunch on time and money?

Cheers

I'd ask another mechanic?
~ shrugs ~

I'll watch this thread as I'm curious about gearbox stuff as I'd like to convert my RN85 to a column shift..
