Gday Guys,

Morning walk with the dog I discovered an oil trail over my driveway and road.  Like a nice steady spray of oil down the street 🤦

Open the garage and there was oil under the drivers side, a modest puddle (which in a way I was happy about as clearly i drove with it pìssing out)

Read it could oil line related, im fairly confident this has had the metal upgrade.

Anyhow after pulling to hood, noticed my coolant bottle was empty too.

How hard do you think I'll be bent over?

Two things to check.

Coolant, it could be a faulty radiator cap. I had a faulty one in my recently purchased HiAce. New one solved my coolant loss.

Oil leak, check the oil filter for damage. Daughter had her ASX serviced, came home with a trail of oil, like you. Turned out that the oil filter was tightened with what looked like a pipe wrench, which put a dint in it, that then cracked and sprayed oil.

Good luck.

Dave start with the obvious first like rad cap hoses etc for the coolant side, and oil the same thing filter and oil lines and maybe if possible try some brake clean sprays to you can see where it may be leaking from.

The cost of repairs is a stab in the dark depending on what it turns out to be.

How recent was its last service?

Hi Dave,

Several hours ago, my Toyota Aurion 2007 has lost an engine oil in same way as you have described and photographed. Could you please share with me what the problem was in your car? Oil filter overtired. Or maybe the oil line burst. It will be interesting to know. I need to fix my car now. I'll greatly appreciate for your answer.

Kind Regards,

Eugene
