So I'm not sure how many transmission specialists are on here but here it goes...

I have the V6 Rav4 with the U151F transmission in it. When cold the transmission doesn't want to drive forward. I'm lucky I am on a hill so the roll on allows the car to get some momentum to get up and going.

We drive around our suburb for around 5mins which allows the transmission to warm up and drive gets better. By this time the car is performing and we can get it out onto the open roads without issue.

We have been driving it like this for months. I have dropped the ATF a couple of times and changed the filter. Doing this has not changed the issue.

Recently I pulled out the valve body out of the transmission and tested the electrical resistance of each of the solenoids which was within spec. I then put 12V across each solenoid to make sure they were actuating, which they were.

I put it all back together and she went like a dream. Drove it everyday without issue for a month until it started acting up again.

I'm thinking it is the solenoids but can't confirm. What do you guys think?
