Head Unit with Apple CarPlay

Hello everyone,

I'm sure there would have to be someone with the same topic but I'm looking for a good head unit for my wife's 2014 RAV4 with Apple CarPlay that wirelessly connects to the phone and has set up so she can connect steering wheel controls and still use her reverse camera, any suggestions please?

Thank you so much everybody!

Did you end up getting a head unit for the Rav4?  I'm thinking of purchasing one from eBay for my 2015 Rav4.

Hi Enforcer,

Got a JVC KW-M56OBT 48% off at automotive superstore. My wife is super happy with it, lots of functionality, the Bluetooth microphone that comes with it makes phone calls crystal clear. If you choose to install it yourself you need to get wiring harnesses from Aerpro which are sold at Supercheap or any other car shop. If you choose to get one let me know if you are going to buy the Aerpro wiring harnesses and I will let you know which ones to get because it can get quite tricky I had to take some back and change over.

Hi gillystylez,

the link for your car and stereo is https://aerpro.com/vehicles/toyota/toyota-rav4-2013  I am not to sure with yours but you will need the APP9 Harness and Patch Lead, double DIN facia plate, possibly the T Harness (for adding aftermarket bluetooth car kits), double check with a supplier of the kits (Super Cheap, Repco...) to make sure of what you will need and get a quote on fitment or harness. I had to buy HEAPS more cables with the JVC unit and it was very expensive. Hope that helps!
