Hi Folks

Finally got the stereo issue resolved - now for the next.

I replaced the tarago car battery on the weekend - car starts, run fine etc, but now the car alarm goes off every time i open the door, start the car, look sideways at the bloody thing.

For example, I can lock the central locking, unlock, the lights flash as usual, open the door then the alarm goes off. I can get in while the alarm is going and start the car ok, and after a minute or so the alarm stops and "rearms" etc etc

I cant find a reset for the alarm or anything that might set it back to normal operation.

Is there a reset/blown fuse/code for the car alarm system i have missed?

Any assistance apperciated

Cheers

The toyota security system book does not offer any advice on resetting the system. Try putting it into valet mode - with ignition off and system disarmed hold button on dash in for 2+ seconds. centre LED light will flash once, Then turn back on by holding button in for 1 second (LED will flash twice).

This will effectively turn the alarm off and back on. Not sure whether it will work though.
