i want to upgrade the audio on a camry 03 sportivo model... the stock speakers sound good...thinkin of puttin to alpine 10 Type R with a amp...now is there anyfing better? and can i run this off da stock in dash 6 Cd stacker Deck... i realised there is a plug unused?? does anyone no wats this for...mayb sub ???

No idea I changed the fronts and rears 4x50 w JVC and JVS 10"sub. Alpine head unit about $599 which conects to i-Pod. sounds not too bad.

I would change all the 6x9s for good 6x 9 at the front and 7 x 10 at rear (means you wont need a sub) and then a good amp. (Cheaper and good sound).

yeah i like the idea of da second method..but just dont no..subs always better

...i should ask my father to find out about dat empty plug..he work at toyota altona factory as head mechanic...to lazy though

i think you can run stock head unit, you need to buy a convertor so you can adapt the wires to amp, also, if your going to have a sub, you might need to change your stock speakers because a chance of them blowing up, also with stock headunit, there is no sub control.
