  5. Cheers guys for all the Thx :) I can now be hired as a negotiator for anyone else buying new or used cars :P I got a call from the dealership asking about the rust proofing, window tinting etc. I will be going to Tint-a-Car for my tinting because it is better than the Titanium stuff that Ming uses from the dealership. Its also cheaper and is newer technology. And being a repeat customer with them i get big discount and lots of free cleaning products :D One question though! has anyone got that noise reduction thing that they do to the underside of the chassis??? if so can i have some comments on it please!!?!?!?!?¿¿¿¿
  6. Wait? Lets hope that the QLD dealers do a better job at getting it to me than their soutern counterparts hey! :P Btw - Thx Lucio :D
  7. Having a look though the gallery and noticed the stickers for the cars. Where Can i grab these from? Cheers :D Danthuyer
  8. Afternoon Boys/Girls Went into Ross Llewellyn Motors (Ipswich) this morning, after going to a few dearlerships in Brisbane and then having a chat to Shaohaok. I ordered my brand new white 04 Sportivo :D (after a $100 Deposit) I got it for $29, 015 on the road, and that is with Personalised Plates, Paint Protection and Sports Grill. It's coming up from Sydney and I should get it within the next 7-10 days. Let the Lift Begin :) :) :)
  9. This is from the email from Bruce Sollitt the Asia Pacific rep for TRD. He is currently getting the spec sheet for me of the new extractors.

  12. thx for that update peekay34 - was wondering why i hadnt heard from him for a while. :)
  13. Oh and one trick that I forgot to put in there - Soak bird droppings before washing off - 110 grams of dissolved baking soda in 1 litre of water will remove stubborn marks
  14. Well I have always had comments about the paintjob on my car (maritius blue). And my car still spends alot of time in the weather. Some simple tips - - Wash/detail your car in the shade - dont use too much soap - dont let the water dry on the car ALWAYS use a Chamois - use seperate chamois for wheels and body - you get what you pay for in cleaning products (stick to good names) - do everything by hand (dont use those wool attachments for your drill for cut/polish etc.) I spend a good 2-3 hours when I clean my car, inside/out and under the bonnet (levels etc). It's always a great feeling when someone makes a good comment about your car :D
  15. http://www.nfsunlimited.net/index.php?go=n...ub=view&id=4778 Not sure if this is an allowed topic but ill try. Above is my Ride in Need For Speed Underground. What you think? Cheers :D Danthuyer
  16. I have been talking to a few guys from Toyota up here in Sunny QLD and I found a really nice chap north of Brisbane called Jerry. Anyway I have gotten the contact details of the Asia-Pacific Rep for TRD over in NZ Has anyone ever gotten anywhere with these guys as far as parts etc. are concerened or am I wasting my time??
  17. You know those stickers with the picture of the guys p!ss!ng on either the word FORD or HOLDEN Saw a EF Falcon one day with the p!ss on FORD sticker.
  18. Was driving home on Moggill road past indooroopilly the other day when I was suprised to see a green ford escort 2 door with a bloody great big silver TRD sticker plastered on both sides of the car. I couldn't beleive what I saw........so I speed up and double checked....an here was a young girl in her cool green escort with white trim and TRD stickers on it! oh well.........there is just no hope for some people
  19. So I take it that from the dull silence that QLD has no good mechanics/shops that specialise in toyota (apart from dealer) or we have hardly any Stivo drivers???? Cheers :D Danthuyer BTW - when i was in the dealership the other day (go check my other post) I asked about TRD and or fitting parts....they came back with "We can only do the grill"
  20. BlackRolla - Yeah 28,990 was the final offer....you know after the whole you give us a price we laugh and start really high.......then the whole you want HOW MUCH for your old car?? I told the guy from the word go I wasnt going to walk out today with the car...but you know they try their 'HARDEST' to get you a good bargain :P lucio_libre - well as I have seen around the place 6000 was the mark....I was surprised when it lifted @ 5800 I made sure, as I did this a fair few times to double check. I agree with buying Ex Demo models etc. I am all for a nice factory made '04 that I can drive the way I want to from day 1 HARD :D IMHO - The compare between the ST170 and the Stivo is fairly unmatched. They are 2 very different cars. The ST170 has a very racy feel to it, rougher, very low road hugging feeling. More of a direct feel and response from the steering and allot more poke down low and mid range from the 2.0 ltr donk. The Stivo is a pleasure to drive also but has a more average Joe feel to it, but when the lift kicks in it unleashes the beast....a great little sleeper ,its asking for some low-mid work to be done to it.flywheel etc. Example - going onto a highway in both (as I have done) 60 - 140K/Hr Stivo = feels like it is struggling to get to the lift then all of a sudden the power comes on nice and smooth and it seems effortless......Oh crap 140 K's St170 = Going -> Going -> Going.....oh Im there now!! The ST170 is also crying out for a Turbo like the RS version which is available in the UK and Europe (unfortunately not in AUS) Not bagging the Stivo one bit. I have read allot about it and have a huge liking for it now (especially after the test drive) but the ST170 does have a slightly better package but at a higher cost 38,000 base model as opposed to 29,000 for the Stivo Oh and dont forget the ST170 donk is from 1993-5 OLD TECHNOLOGY!!!!!
  21. Hey Guys After going into work yesterday morning, I decided to drop into Southside Toyota (brisbane) and have a look at the Stivo and take one for a spin. It was my lucky day as I got the traineee, as all the 'older' sales guys were busy. To cut a long story short, we went for a belt down through the streets in up and back on the highway. Needless to say at one stage, taking it from a set of lights around a few corners and onto the motorway the young fella decided to hold on a bit tighter whilst I tested the lift :D After that we talked turkey and I got him down to 28,990 drive away. Being that it was an '03 model and it was test driven only 24 K's. Aparently QLD only gets 1.5 new Stivos a month??? Anyway I talked to the finance guy and i left empty handed, I still need to wait for my X to buy me out of my 2 units before I can go back and pay $$$ for it. The repayments were a bit high with my mortgages etc. A couple of points though I would like a bit of feedback on though if you would - Lift kicked in at 5,800 not 6,000 - Steering not as responsive as i thought - was i silly to knock back that price?? I have driven a Focus ST170 just recently also......anyone else taken one for a drive yet?...
  22. V V nice exec ....... im not one for polished mags...but they sure do look nice on your rolla :) was it a james cleaning services or something that did it for you?
  23. thx lucio_libre for the warm welcome :).... i agree the cooler air would be nicer up here...but in increased power doesnt worry us up here........we 'Drive' faster/better :P :D
  24. illuminati ...thx again for the invite mate Yeah i got in here a while ago ...abit hard to surf the forum and work at the same time :(
  25. Blade Hunter - If you have only heard the R series in the Board at the shop, then wait till you hear them in your ride :D nice clean hard sound...not too rough and drowned sounding at all
