  1. Yup ive seen the sportivo at UWA.  Looks nice!  Can't say ive seen the other one though

Just confirmed that im putting my rolla into Autosalon this year in July.  :D

Really?? congrat!!!! where can i see it??

Undecided where im putting it at the moment, either with a club called 'Street image' or 'Technik Car Audio' stand.

:( Don't know which one to pick.

  2. Sounds good.

I just put extractors on my rolla.. there arn't a whole heap around especially for our model corolla but I got some :D Much more kick and a really nice grunt that could put a sportivo to shame. :P

high flow cat back would be a sensible option to squeeze out some power and of course the wonderfull remus exhaust with resonator.. it just sounds too good! (not to mention actually increases performance)

My extractors cost $430, my remus exhaust cost $850 and the quotes I have for a nice cat back are $300 along with piping costing $600 (in stainless steal).

Other options to increase power for a 1zz are pretty limited, I have a TRD cold air intake which works amazingly and the next step will most likely be a GReddy e-management piggyback ecu.

Other than that the only other mods to increase power (over 1kw per mod) would be to either turbocharge or supercharge.

Lets not forget that the TRD sticker on a car gives you 5kws extra too.... 7kws if its on an actual Toyota

  3. Sure Danthuyer, but I think C-ONE already do that with their own wings, arn't the best quality ever!

My wings had to be repaired, were pretty damaged and not prepped very well. All fixed and moulded now though.

Thanks for the compliments anyways guys.

On my way to Genie to order some extractors to be fitted very soon as well. After that im taking a brake.. my wallet will catch on fire else

  4. Got my C-ONE wings moulded into the original spoiler just to get rid of the bolt on effect, thought you would all like to see :D

I also got some reflective tinting done along with barbed wire graphics in the tinting. 100% legal :P

EDIT: Just realised how dodge the photos look of the spoiler, there are no marks or visable things, the spoiler is one colour all over and looks clean as anything!

  5. How about Perth.....

 I shouldn't even bother.

I know of 4 sportivos in Perth with 1 being not interested in the car scene but interested in modding and the other goes to the motorplex drags. (Got a 15.5 and a 16.2 or something... )

Let everyone else know how it turns out! Should be great to see!

Edit: Just saw Blue_Stivos reply... Damnit! I would drive if I had a rough estimate of how long it takes to drive there or how long it takes to get on a train with the car and get there. Been wanting to explore a bit of Australia anyways :)

  6. 50,000 isn't a major service. The 40,000 one is the major service. I have mine coming up in 8,000ks time :(

My old mans 01 Celica was expensive to service at 40,000. $420 or so.

But yeah, 40,000 is a major service with the 80,000 service being even more important. I wouldn't be fussed in spending the money to ensure the car runs well for a long time after. At least if toyota do it and you have a problem later on you can take the car back and tell them it was their fault for not doing the job properly.

  7. Cold Air Intake, Exhaust, Extractors, TRD Supercharger, Aftermarket ECU.

Im sure you might feel a bit of a difference with those power mods.

And guys, he was asking for helpfull siggestions about how he can mod his current car, not for you to tell him its a waste of time or anything like that. I know I prefer my Ascent over a tivo mainly because it suits my needs better having less power.

With the mods ive listed 100kw's at the wheel shouldn't be unreasonable

  8. soo will the unichip actually damage ya car in anyway ?  its only like 120 bux to get it installed, so it might be worth it if it doesnt do anything to da engine.

The unichip is expensive to buy and install.. at least in the way of mods go anyways. Dyno tune would be costly when getting it installed.

Dennis: I have no idea about extractors, I know of one person on the forums that has Genie extractors, I can't say I know what Grimlock is running though.

As for the piggy back ECU, Greddy e-manage seems to also be quite a good option. May be worth looking into which one is best.. unichip of greddy... whilst its clear cut what is better for a sportivo I dont think many 1zzfe owners have experimented as much.

  9. For the 1zz engine I would recommend remus, means no messing around with a custom job and guarantees a performance gain as well as nice sound. Its a proven worked exhaust that does a good job.

Taking it to an exhaust place can often be a mistake depending on the exhaust place. Sometimes you will get a perfect exhaust, other times you will get a droning exhaust that leaves you with less power than you had at the start.

  10. I paid between $450-$550, shalnt say the actual price as I think I remember Bruce have issues before on this topic. So theres a general price range for it.

I looked into custom air intake, however the TRD one comes with the slot for a map sensor so its the best one to use for sure. Its one louder sucker as well, you notice the difference vastly and hear it even whilst the engine is idling.

The remus exhaust was expensive though. From what I remember I paid around $800 for that *** damn thing. It was worth it though. :D

  11. TRD intake is available from www.trdsales.com through Bruce. I'd recommend him after buying it as im sure a lot of members here would.

Remus exhaust is a little tougher to grab hold of. In perth I was lucky and got mine from the first exhaust shop I went to. Best bet is to go to a large and popular exhuast shop and ask if they can get in a remus exhaust, if not ask them if they know someone that can get one in.

:D Good choices on the mods though. Looks like there are going to be 3 similar rollas on the site.

  12. Well the attatched pic is my boot install, a better photo for you all to see.

    I have 2 Type S subs (12')

1 Alpine amp that runs 4x75wrms (for the speakers)

1 Alpine amp that runs 2x350wrms (for the subwoofers)

A pair of high end Rainbow speakers in the front

A pair of DDlinear speakers in the back

And my latest addition, A Pioneer headunit that has a 7' touchscreen and DVD playing ability. It is custom fit to take the place in the middle of the double din slot.

I just got back from motorvation (a car show in perth) and picked up two awards for my rolla, I won my SPL class and also got the 'Real Appeal' award for best boot install and generally best sounding stereo.

I got 137.6db on their reading equipment which ive been told is very low, on normal equipment I should reach 144db with no problems. :D

  13. Neat as !

Top Job Skitzo ! ( Do I hear Perth AutoSalon anyone? ), The quality of the finish was well worth the wait.  Was the install designed specifically for your needs or had the workshop done a similar job for a Corolla before ?

Every job the workshop does is unique, they will not redo a same idea or design on a car. So they just did it trying to be original

 A few people have said about perth autosalon, personally I dont think the car is good enough. Im undecided.

  14. Nice install but looks weighty. Any idea how much it weighs? As for the grills on the subs they'll stop the salad from going everywhere! :P

    :lol::lol::lol:

Its very heavy, thats all I really know. It hasnt changed the handling due to extra weight in the back thankfully though. I am able to bottom out on ramps much more easily however as ive found out. :(

  15. Actually im getting two grilles that have been ordered in, they protect the subs and are very heavy metal. I can put stuff ontop of them with no worries. :P Ruined your fun?

Setup cost $2000 with custom box for the subs and lights and the two grilles that havnt come in yet.

The car is starting to become a semi showcar with it being driven daily so im not too fussed about practible use since I dont need the car for too much except driving. :D

Technik car audio installed it, the guy who did my installation is the 3rd best installer in Australia.

Apologies for the bad pic quality, it was shot at night with no extra light than what the boot provides. Il post better pics if people want to see it clearer etc.

Took 3 weeks to do and had a few problems on the way but its all good.

Have no spare wheel and my sound system hammers well now.

    Sound system specs:

JVC headunit (Soon to be replaced with an alpine TV screen headunit)

    1 Alpine 4-way amp (75w x 4)

1 Alpine amp to run the subs

    2 Alpine 12' Type S subwoofers

Alpine 6' DDlinear speakers in the back doors

Rainbow 6' top range speakers in the front doors

    :D
