As for the put downs here, well they don't seem to happen, but that doesn't mean it doesn't go on, either here or on a cruise, but not saying it does either. I agree, looking back over the thread, i was out of line for some of my comments, and for that i do applogise to everyone here, and i would like to retract my previous statement.

Blue_stivo, you beat me to it. I think it should work like this. 2 members nominated should be an active member of EACH forum. What i mean is the following 2 members, Corolla forum 2 members, Camry forum etc etc etc.... I'll throw my hand up for the Camry crew. I don't mind.

There are more lits available in the U.S more than here. Any bodykit maker can do you a custom kit, but it will cost big $$$, last time i asked it was about $850 and up, per bar. First thing, they are having problems with the server, i'm sick of all the down time aswell, sorry guys, but it should be up again soon. This reply may see me being banned, but i think i'm entitled to my say to defend myself and forum. I have read your terms and conditions. #1 I have never tried nor will i ever try to steal or take members from this forum, i simply gave them another choice. Why can't people be part of both ? #2 The main difference between this forum and my own, is it's a Camry ONLY forum, not a toyota forum. It's for people who feel passionately about Camrys. #3 My forum is not shared with every other make of Toyota produced. #4 I am fully funding my forum, not asking for memberships (even when i change to another server). There will be no costs incurred to any members of my forum. Now, don't get me wrong i like this forum, but i think it would be better to have a All Camry forum, rather than share a site with the people who label a camry as a joke. There is very little activity here in the camry section, we are always getting bagged out for driving a camry, left out of car shows. How many camry's do you see at Auto Salon, and be taken seriously ? This is why i started my forum, and i wouldn't be at all supprised that the moderator of this particular section of the forum, doesn't even own or drive a camry.

Don't anyone take offence to this, but it might have something to do with, we have better things to do with our time, than to turn up to a cruise and get branded as a joke because your pride and joy is a Camry. Every cruise i have ever been on ever since i got my Camry, i have been the laughing stock of the entire cruise. And i think many people feel the same and it sh!ts me, because NO ONE takes us seriously at all. There are plenty of fine examples of what can be done to a Camry, but until one graces the front page of every popular car modifing magazine, we will never be taken seriously. If i knew i was able to go to a cruise and not get flamed by everybody attending it, i probably would go to a cruise. My 2c worth.

This my plans for my '96 Toyota Vienta. Engine: 3VZ-FE 3.0 Litre V6 Engine Mods: Port and polished heads, AEM cold air intake, Bored out throttle body, Polished and shotpeened rods, Balanced and blue printed bottom end, (maybe) bored .30 thou and honed, Long duration camshafts, Extractors/headers, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, Polished 3-4" Glass packed rear muffler, TRD oil cap, TRD radiator cap. My main aim is to hit the 300hp or over with this engine. Gearbox: Standard Toyota 5 Speed Manual Gearbox Mods: Exedy clutch, Lightened flywheel, LSD, TRD quickshifter, TRD gearknob Suspension: Kings lowered 2-3" all round, (maybe) KONI adjustables. Wheels: 17-18" Chromies possibly AME Body: Front and Rear bodykit. Tinted windows, (maybe)Custom mix colour Interior: Standard trim, Pioneer 12 Stack CD player, Pioneer Double din head unit, Pioneer 6x9, Pioneer 6" Splits, Autometer monster tacho w/ shiftlite, TRD pedals, White face gauges. My Motivation: The motivation to build my car is to show the Toyota and car community, that a Toyota Camry can be just as much a show car as any other car on the road today. Alot of forums i have gone to have rubbished and put Camry drivers and their cars done for no particular reason, other than they drive a Camry. So, stuff 'em, I'll show 'em. I plan on starting this soon, i still have a few things to sort out aswell as trying to organise a huge move for me and my family interstate (we hope). Do you need to remove the entire parcel shelf cover to gain entry to rear speakers ? I tried to take off the plastic covers that cover them and didn't get to far. Also does anyone know what size speakers are in the front doors of the Vienta's are they only 4" or 6" ?

I have just found this place woo hoo. I'm new here and i agree there is not enough modded camry's getting around. BUT, look what i have for you to drool over. This fine example was built in 4 days, no kidding. engine stripped and re-built. Some of you may have seen this car before, it was previously a badly faded red, with a bogged up bonnet. I have a '96 Vienta and i plan to do a similar sort of set-up, but without the colour and turbo engine (which would be nice), but i'll stick with the V6, 5 speed.
