  1. Thanks DJKOR!. You're one useful bloke ;). There have been a few instances where I'd be forced to let my foot go off the pedal right after i floor it. And thats probably the worst thing i feel i do when I'm driving, The RPM gets high and all of a sudden it stops and slowly reduces. But i guess there's nothing to worry about eh?. Thanks again!.
  2. Goddamn it. Is it me or does Traction Control really slow you the f*ck down?. I never really noticed it much, And probably wouldn't have if i didn't try driving with it off. Its like: *Screech!* *Pause..* *Vroom*. And, Is it okay if i floor it every now and then?. Or will the engine not last long that way?. And how about my tires, Will it handle the regular short screeches and stuff when flooring it with TC on?.
  3. We don't get lots of traffic here so i don't think thats it for me. Sometimes the RPM starts off really slow, It sort of feels as if the Traction Control gets even harder than it is. I guess it must be the Auto Driver Style learning system thingy. It sucks, Because the other day me and one of my buddies decided to do a race from 40, Just for laughs. He had a Civic!. I did win but not as hard as i hoped. He went out front at the start!, Response time with the Aurion was slow, But i blasted right pass him anyway. But maybe 4 cylinder cars are faster at lower gears?. I know he probably threw it in Manual "I didn't" and he started off with the RPM high. But even with that i was thinking i'd smoke him from the start. Next time! >.<.
  4. "The heat builds up under the bonnet and soaks into the materials of the intake manifold, intake pipe etc. This in turn raises your intake air temperature which will cause a drop off in power." Wouldn't the temp gauge be sort of high then, Though?. My temp is usually low. "Could also be that your auto learns your driving style, then when you change it (your driving style) abruptly, it doesn't learn as fast as you want it too." I actually thought about that a lot, And have noticed too. But is it true?. Does that system even exist in the Aurion?.
  5. Nope, Didn't leave the AC on. I'm not that stupid ;) Aaaand i tested it again yesterday after i left my friends house. I think it has something to do with the way you drive it. If you drive it slow for an hour or so and then suddenly thrash it, It won't go as hard as you want it to. But i'm not sure, All i know is that its annoying!. Just drove it, its 2PM here. And it went pretty good. I just don't know for sure why sometimes it doesn't.
  6. Sorry if the Thread title Isn't understandable, I could have put a bigger one but i didn't. Why is it that at times my Aurion performs really well, And at times it doesn't?. Well, Its not as much as performance, Ill give an example. Yesterday night, I tried accelerating from 0, And my RPM started very slow, As if the Traction Control just tightened up even more. Could this be because of the humidity? "Semi wet roads". I know the Aurion's traction control is a b!tch, And it will mess up your acceleration even if your tires are standing on a few drops of sand.. The power doesn't come "instantly" as i thrash the gas pedal. I just want to know this, Is it a weather and condition thing?. Is it the way you drive it that particular night? "Was driving slow before it cus i was with friends". I'm sort of getting paranoid about this, Like it could be my engine o.O. Or it could be just because the way i drive it when with friends. Of course this doesn't happen every time, But it happens. And i just have to know why :)) Thanks in advance!.
  7. Man that is a nice offer. I would get it but i can't spare any money right now, And shipping would murder me. Lets say if i did get it though. What would i need to do?, Just install the supercharger and thats it?, No other parts need changing?.
  8. Question. How many HP's will these add to an Aurion?.
  9. Goddamn that car is so damn low. Looks pretty sweet. I'm not digging the long **** exhausts though.
  10. Hmmm, My car also pulls to the left. I remember it didn't do it at first. So i figured it was because my sis slightly grinded the rims against the sidewalk. And that it just needed alignment. Hopefully thats all it needs and its not a serious issue...
  11. Hell yes it can do it in 6.8 seconds, Maybe even a tiny bit faster. I did it in the 6 seconds range one night, The Aurion is definitely a proper car. I noticed you don't get the best performance right away, It took two or so tries. The third time i floored it from 0 the tires screeched up until 60 - 65Kmph, But maybe thats not a good thing?. But it definitely did it in the 6 seconds range, I know this because i captured a video of it. Wanted to upload it on youtube but damn my phone cam is ****ty . The conditions were mint, Night time, Cool weather. Had traction control off and the car was set in sport mode. I hope the car can handle me flooring it. I don't floor it often, But its still not right to abuse a new car. But i dunno, Sometimes i think to myself It is a CAR, Its supposed to handle the toughest stuff!.
  12. ^ Its just something cool to have?. It doesn't have to serve a good purpose. Its just nice to have the option to turn your windows and sunroof down and just enjoy a nice weather. I usually just use my sunroof and keep my windows up. Can anyone here tell me if the sunroof system in your aurion is Automatic or not?. I mean tilt it up or down by just pushing the button once *Not holding*.
  13. Nice!. Congratulations mate. I know you'll enjoy the car!. Mine has a color similar to yours, But its a few notches brighter. I has a sunroof too!. But..., For some strange reason its not automatic -.-.
  14. Nope. But my Sunroof has been a wee bit noisy lately, But i blame the dust for that >.<. Question, I have a Grande model *Which i guess is Prodigy in Aussie land*, And the Sunroof isn't automatic?!, My brothers Camry is automatic and not the Aurion?!. I'm having paranoid thoughts about it being a factory fault. There are two Switches to control the Sunroof, One is supposed to open/close it completely. The other is supposed to make it go upwards and downwards right?. Well they both do the same goddamn thing!, The up/down Switch "Dunno what to call it!" Does the same exact function the other switch does. Is it just My Aurion?! >.<
  15. Now thats one informative post, Thank you DJKOR! I will still probably mess around with it a lot more to see for myself if i get the best launch with it On or Off lol. Just asking here, What is the Aurions time in 0 to 60?. Surprised there really aren't any video reviews up on youtube. Closest thing i could find is a 2008 Camry video review, And i believe those use the same exact engine the Aurion does. They say it does it in 6.6 seconds. I know the Aurion is a wee bit heavier than the Camry, But I'm guessing not enough to hurt that time. Is it possible to do it quicker if you perfect your launch?.
  16. Lol yeah, I didn't think it would really work but it does!. I don't understand why Toyota didn't simply add a damn TCS button.
  17. Firstly, I'd like to thank the guys who posted the steps on how to turn off Traction Control in the Aurion in Previous threads, I didn't even know it was possible lol. Here's my Question. Do i get better time from 0 to 60 with traction OFF or ON? Since this is a FWD car, Does Traction Control really help that much aside from keeping the tires from spinning?, Isn't its main role to stop cars from SPINNING?. BOTTOM LINE!, Does it friggin give me better performance or not?! >.<. Cheers.
  18. Hey, i have a question or two. Kinda not Off-topic. My Toyota Aurion came with a Smart key from the beginning, the same one shown in the first post. At first the doors would unlock when i came near the driver or passenger sides, After a while it stopped doing that. Now I'm not complaining, Because there are sensors on the door handles so its still easy to unlock it without having to push anything. But i wonder, WHY?!, Is it because of the battery or something?, That can't be right because it really didn't take long before it stopped doing it. If it is the battery then i must say, It has an incredibly short life!. Next question, What kind of batteries does the smart key take?, I checked out the manual and saw a diagram showing those tiny round ones *don't know what they're called -.-*, But these looked a bit bigger than the ones I'm accustomed to. I hope i can do it by myself if i can. And finally, What happens if the battery runs out completely?, The car is push button start, It would be very icky if it runs out when I'm out somewhere..., So will there be a warning of some sorts?. First question is the one that matters, So i hope somebody can answer it.
  19. I noticed that too, Weird thing is i messed around with it a bit and found out that it shifts whenever you want it to, You just have to pull your foot off the gas when you shift. It doesn't work that well though. If your foot is planted then the AI will shift whenever it feels is best, Otherwise it works perfect. But try what i said, I think one can learn how to do it perfect after a few tries.
