  1. Just got myself a black Levin and so ecstatic BUT I got to get the insurance sorted. I've been ringing a few insurance companies (gio, allianz, nrma, aami) and I am convinced that they're just out there to wrought us (literally!)

Any suggestions which insurance co is the best???? Thanx ppls :)

whats ur age?, any mods planned? what mods are they?

AAMI is cheapest probably but will insure one performance mod

justcars will insure ur car with mods

NRMA may be an option depending on ur age/history/location

do a search int eh forum.. lots of threads on insurance

  2. IMO the rear sway bar brings most benefits. It will reduce body roll, therefore decrease understeer.

rear sway bar u will feel most benefit as first mod .. the front strut brace will just compliment it

yes it will encourage oversteer as it links the two rear struts at the bottom .. and when u corner the opposite side pulls each other down .. the thicker, the stronger the force .. if its too thick it will make ur wheel leave the road in hard cornering

  3. its just like the... subaru libtery.. eyelids??

except on the liberty they on the front!

no offence to pete or anyone else with clear tail lights.. but i prefer stock :)

    personal taste tho

i quite liek the black tails too

  4. bump guys..

Unfortunately i had a similar accident recently, but the front may have damage too

    :(

Anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to get fixed? And where

    this will be costly

my mate did this on his evo

    needed to replace

Brakes - the brake lines snapped and the disc was busted

    whole hub assembly

    the strut

    torsion arm

    rim obviously

but all these parts.. the brakes caused the most nuissance

  5. SYD Saturday night, about 11pm

    1 facelift Silver Sportivo

1 preface white sedan with sportivo side skirts, a new front bar (TTE is it? or TRD?) and rear bar too. <-- sedan! a friend for you jason! :P

grouped with a Blue Honda Accord Euro with Mugen grille (nice!) and some other cars as well.

I wouldve said something if I had the rolla but I was in a red bmw 118i that we were test driving  :D

Yea that was us. Did u see a white facelift Sportivo? Cant believe you miss my car.

black stivo with slimline weather shields at Chatswood Toyota service (actually atarmon) this morning.

  6. yes i have these now .... I live in blacktown.

I wont be able to make it to anything on the 29th so the fact that the meet isnt on worked out perfectly.

on the 30th is the day cruise to wisemans ferry so let me know who's gonna atleast make it in the morning and i will bring your with me. We are meeting at thornleigh maccas so check out the cruise & meets section for details. As if we are cruising i dont want to be carrying these in the rear going left and right through the twisties ....

If u tell me ur gona be there and dont turn up just remember plastic in the boot or on the rear seat with lots of corners is not ideal for your goods.....

    Thanks bill

Sorry i couldnt deliver to u guys personally im off to the coal mines

  7. Haha hav to be faster guyz

Hirola - if I give you a few visors for people in your area would you be able to distribute in your area?

Yea thats cool. Whatever is easier for everyone.

Hirola what area you located in?

If its easier for me I might pick them up off too (if its not too much hassle for you) and ill pay Romp via Internet banking.

  9. I know that the reason there is yellow in lights is so that it cuts through fog. How do those white lights cut through fog???

    i dont have fog

it helps to see at night .. when there is no light .. this is clear pure light

    Correct me if im wrong

Romp i think he is refering to Fog, as in the white **** in the air when its early in the morning, or your at high altidude...

Yer - im saying i dont ever have fog in my area so im not concerned about cutting through it. I use it for night driving purposes.

  13. so you guys reckon i'd better use spray gun and touch up paint?well if you say so, i'll just have to go with it.so first of all, i had to mix the touch up paint wif thinner? then after mixing it then i'll just fill the spray gun with the paint, rite?or i can just fill up the spray gun wif the touch up paint THEN i fill with thinner?where to buy and what kind of thinner?

i reckon you should just go to a panel beater/spray painter.

If you were in Sydney i'd recommend you go to DSports who charge $20~$30 to spray.

Pickup the yellow/white pages and call up to see what prices you get.

Door handles will cost more to get done professionally as they need to take off the inside of the door to get to the handle, most wont just spray it on cos they know its looks crap.

Here the thread with the prices of painting.

    http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...=5745&hl=dsport

door handles u need to remove the inside paneling and it is connected with a screw and clip.

for the rear door and side moulding u could probably get away with preparing the area and taping it all off and then spray it

  14. Princes Highway Figtree

Spotted a silver stivo looked like it was lowered on kings super lows. It was like looking in the mirror

did that car have euro plates?

cause gf said she saw one at the same place today around 5:15.

Nah had black and white plates, the sun was in my eyes so i couldnt get a look at the driver

    Spotted around 4pm

    Blue Conquest Facelifted hatch

Had an exhaust and a white dude with sunnies

Was headed southbound into harbour tunnel and i went across bridge

  16. the system is a little dodgy...

you should lose points and a fine but then who knows....

I remember the urban myth of

    1. Pay an extra $1 on your fine - due the discrepancy, they cant process it and you wont lose points.

    2. Dont pay the fine, and wait for it to go the state debt recovery office, then pay the fine with whatever interest they slap on top. Because the fine is now at the state debt recovery, they only care about the money, and points dont get taken off.

Any of the above still true?

    I know this one works.

Driver a company car, get booked, have the fine sent to work, work pays, you pay work back, no one loses any points - Happened to my boss. LOL

those urbam myths are exactly that ... myths ..

You can log onto RTA website and check your points .. type in ur licence number

  17. goodboys,

yep they r in, just pm specialized32

goodboys -- u got a rear sway bar? do u also have an exhaust? sometimes they may clang when taking a corner hard .. happens on my mates evo4

yeah i got the rear sway.. just put back my stock exhaust .. the rattle sounds like its behind the dash.. i thought it was my modified cables.. toyota said it was my sway bar/strut bar.. u reckon its bc i havent got the spacers?

rattles when im cruising on 3,000rpm.. very noticable when stereo is off.

maybe .. but all the spacers do is raise ur strut bar off ur chassis by about 1cm. avoids those bumps...

also you will be able to tighten ur nuts up alot more with the spacers coz the base points will be level.
