Wierd question, but do all you guys have small as sh*t hands, or are my hands just overly big. Just changing the low beams on my passenger side is hard because of the limited space, how are u guys managing to do all this work in such a small ammount of space. The low beams are hard enough to get out, dont get me started on the parkers. omg
must be small hands ...
Its fiddly .. I struggle with the buttons on my phone ! ... admittedly my phone is tiny ..
Although the parkers are ok if you take your time.
You know what they say about guys with small hands ! :) hahhah
Romp - Did you use zip ties as well as double sided tape ?
Ive got quite large hands i had to get one of my asian mates to install the bulbs :P
I have only used cable ties and it is very solid - i bought double sided tape too but didnt use it.. i may put some on when i get a chance to reinforce it - but i have hammered my car since and it hasnt moved or rattled.
its funny when u turn the lights on u can hear this "energizing" sound haha

isnt bat on passenger side for facelift rollas????? sorry for being picky
sorry yer -- reverse what i said:) hhaahah

Hey guys!
Finally installed my HID kit this arvo. all i can say is this. ITS FRIGGIN BRIGHT
For those who dont know - i bought the techone 6000K HID kit.
Anyone had issues from cops with HID? I want to hear first hand issues not friend of a friend:)
Ive adjusted it to the lowest levels.. but i might raise them a bti coz i can only see 3metres in front of me atm - was worried i was gonna blind people lol
Anyhow was pretty happy.
For those interested I mounted the ballasts on:
Passenger side: On the braket holding the wiper fluid
Driver Side: On the back of the battery on a metal pipe there.
Will attach pics next w/e :)

Spec_black you still have that big balled wolf as your avatar? lol
Blitz would be awesome. Heard a lot of good reports from the celica boys in the Cali area in the US. Very reliable. Many of them are daily drivers, one has had a blitz s/c installed with decomp. head gasket, diff. ratio pistons and he has no problems for 40,000k's and it's still going. 150 odd kw to the fronts and it runs a 1/4 in the late 13's early 14's.
You're getting a brake upgrade man...may as well do the motor now haha.
nice mate
keep us informed:)
im highly interested in how you are going to work the suspension and what clutch setup you will be pursuing:)

Hey i was wondering since you guys put on super lows. Does your car have negative camber in the front wheels?
do u mean positive camber? i.e. corrected by putting in negative 1 or 2 degree camber bolts
-
MTX MTX MTX MTX MTX MTX MTX MTX
i liek the rainbow splits .. i wouldnt bother with rear speakers - get a good front stage and amp and then get a decent sub and amp .. run the rear stock off the HU and that would sound awesome
-
no drilling needed, you just need to be able to close the rear headlight cover. Just use a stavley knife n make two notches in the edge of the rear of headlight where the cover sits to fit the wire, then put the cover back on. If u lived in melb id do it for free.
But just to warn you the 6000k kit is a bit bright, sorta scared the cops will pull me over. I'm thinking about drpping down to 4300K. But yeah if any1 is interest in a 6000K kit PM me.
so u just cut it near the edge so the wires go thru ???
where abouts did u mount the passenger side ballast? did u bult it to the chassis or did u just use the wire ties? and look it thru holes?
-
Alright i got NFI
lol
$50 to anyone who can install it for me
-
Im just reading through the installation of my HID kit
Did anyone actually drill any holes when they isntalled their HID kit for their Rolla ?
It says ineed to drill a 22mm hole in some plastic cover thingy for wires to go thru.
Also Where did you guys attach your ballast??
-
Yeah customs wouldn't bother with it unless the value on it is over $500 AUD inclusive of shipping costs.
IF anyone else wants a set in SYDNEY - I think I will have a spare set because Im buying my own plus some for mates. Only front in black
$55 including the postage here and its being sent on Monday.
Cheers

Also don't you think it strange that ford has fixed it's engines and got more kw out and better fuel economy - so with the right money all is possible.
B...... Toyota now that I'm used to this kind of power and fuel economy I'll be looking elsewhere for next upgrade (which normally would be now but holding off due to having to pay private school fees for two kids at the mo.)
man - sportivo doesnt meet compliance but celica does? cmon!
-
far out that sucks... i would say your gas is all gone - do you drive everywhere with the a/c on? you should be right with the CAI in, seeing as it wouldnt have any affect on your air con..
ID agree and say most likely gas leak
make sure u find the problem before regassing :)
-
THA B@$7@RD$!
Man dont these people have a concience? No respect for other peoples property. Go to there manager and say what happened, see what he says? At least its reported. <_<

OMG
I jsut washed my car and i noticed the front left part of my bumper has been shaved .. no dents but the paint is scartch off like its brushed passed a brick wall. i can see primer and black plastic :S
GAH
And i cant go and pin it on him now either coz he will say that I did it :S
AGHH
Annoyed because i kept my car pristine until now :(
Went and got the white artline and patched up the black bits .. but still unhappy
-
you would definately turn heads!
i think it would look pretty cool, but with wide body kits you never know till you see it... if it was a good one, then it would look REAL good...
how would you make the rims fit the guards?
-
is there a H7 8000k?
pm me plz. :)

Wow mine arrived yesterday .. paid on Friday! thats some speedy service!
Havent had a chance to open it yet .. but will attempt to install this w/e and post some pics

Can somebody please post a step by step guide on installing HID kit - specifically Techone if you can haha.
Thanks

credit cards and stuff stretch the stickers out. they're not strong enough.
mine still has bubbles that don't seem to be going anywhere... I think i might have a dirt problem. If it lasts a session with the high pressure hose at the car wash then i'll just leave it otherwise I'll try replacing it with my second one...
get a really sharp sewing needle ..
pop the bubble and press it down ...
there's an idea! good thinking. I'll try it when i get home.
the egg's always full of good ideas ... and yolk ... :D
Sorry guys
I just got my stickers from Bill and i see what you mean - i dont think the soapy water technique will work with these!
