  1. Hey Man,

Looks like ya doin a good amount of research which is good enough but yeah... just be careful... i just imported a kit for the current camrys direct from Toyota in the US only to find out the rear wasn't suitable for mine.

Dems da risks tho.... i guess when ya think ya 100% on sumthin... look at again and think about what could possibly go wrong and ask the question.

Also, my front lip i bought also fiberglass and warped just a tiny bit in transit. Fairly easy repair for the panel shop and no issues after that point.

  2. Youtube video was done like a pro bro, i couldnt tell the difference wether it was k&n making the video or you.

    Hehe... I know right.

Yep installed under warranty... Still got like another two years on that. Nothing said by my dealership or the guys servicing it there. Really its not much of mod, its just replacing the factory air filter for another one really, so i don't think they can void anything on that.

I've heard about iridium plugs here and there but haven't looked into it at all but now you're makin me think about it... i've always run premium since getting the car.

  3. Id say no on the fuel economy. If anthing it makes ya wanna put ya foot down a little more cuz the sound is addictive. K&Ns argument will be something to do with the engine taking in more oxygen or somethin. It may have some HP improvement but its hard to tell. That 5HP improvement is at around 5000rpms.

Either way i think youll like it, did u catch dodgy video I made in the other thread to show the before and after sound? Hehe.

  4. Yeah, waitin for those pieces was drivin me crazy too... soon enough man.

That picture is unpainted as received from the US, you can see the gloss paint on the grill though. Definitely looks alright as is but paint wouldnt hurt either.

  5. imo leave the tail lights as is, niteshades fade overtime anyway

Thanks for the input Jeff, I've heard they fade, any idea how quickly? I painted 3 light coats of niteshades and 3 of clear gloss. The method i used has left me happy with the gloss/buffed, will the fading effect that look or will it become duller as it fades. I used sanding and compound to get the look.

  6. Hopefully no defect notices just yet, still deciding what to do but i'm really into the black tail lights, i may try to sand em down a bit more and buff em out and repeat. We'll see.

Here's some photo updates of what the lights look like in full afternoon sun:

And then there's the XSP kit, the front lip which i've got:

And the rear diffuser that has gone to the bro-in-law:

  7. Unlucky man would of looked s3x.. should of left the tails the way they were. but its done now so enjoy them till you get pulled over for them :P

Haha yeah... during the day without lookin at the crappy light output they look amazing with the rest of the car. Wonderin if I should just take it off now or run with it til I cop a fine... niteshades definitely not transparent.

  8. Shame :( No chance of making it fit with some custom work? or not worth the effort and dollars?
Yeah I thought about the custom work but decided against it as it would have possibly not worked out anyway. Its ok... ive moved on and shes goin to a good home hehe. Really lovin the front lip... I also nightshaded my new tail lights but I dunno if that was the best idea... a bit too dark during the day.
  9. :nopity: I'm in mourning... Heed the warning, if you don't have an Atara SX rear the XSP rear diffuser will not fit. Now a mate will get it unless someone wants it for $1000. Cost over $800 AUD before shipping. Now all i get is a new front lip. So sad. Wahhhh.

  10. http://www.knfilters.com/search/appsearch.aspx?type=auto&year=2013&make=TOYOTA&model=Camry&engine=3.5L

As far as i know the K&N replacement filter won't give you any different sound, it supposedly lasts forever though.

The short ram intake will definitely increase a the sound of your car but not really noticeably effect horsepower, although it claims that it will.

I love the sound from my short ram intake in my Camry, your hear it from around 1700 RPMs and upwards. If it's below those revs you will hear nothing.

Best thing you'll get out of it will be the sound... other people on in club post stuff saying that if you combine this with other mods you'll see more of increase in performance.
