  2. i was gonna ask ppl what they were getting on their fuel consumption for the car......but have been answered... yesterday i went down the blue mountains and all the way to parramatta and then to a petrol station(before beginning the descent went to a petrol station(95 octane went into it). to the base of the mountains the fuel consumption was reading 5.0 L/100km(about 35km's), and then by Parramatta(from the base of the mountains to parramatta constant 110-100-90km/h) another 30km's later it read 6.4L/100km, and by the time i reached the petrol station i poured petrol again(at 80km's or so) it was about 7L/100km's... and whoops i only poured like 5.6 litres of petrol haha....... What have you guys been putting into the car? 91/95/98RON?, Shell/BP/Mobil/Caltex?....

  9. is that like for the whole thing separately without a car? and for tyres and wheels? OR $4200 on top of the vehicle purchase price? Thats the cost to upgrade the standard 17's to 18's ontop of the purchase price It's about $1500 to upgrade........which dealership did you go to? I went to Pennant Hills Toyota in NSW. And you may want to visit: Bulid and Price Your Toyota It currently only has the option of pricing a Camry but if you look at the 17" upgrade from 16" it is only $1000.

  14. The Chinese Corolla will be the European Corolla Sedan, so it is very likely that the Chinese Corolla sedan will be the one that Australia is getting. Toyota Corolla European Debut
  15. The Lexus ES has been discontinued in Australia, the only market it is selling is the US and it is manufactured in the US as well, it has already been released, so go to the Lexus US site for more info. The VW Passat a fully loaded 3.2 V6 is $67230 before on road costs, and taxes.....so that would be a $20000 difference.
  16. it is only required to be displayed on a car that is in a showroom to inform the consumer about the fuel consumption(just like energy ratings for consumer appliances). It is because the dealer was too lazy to remove it for you, and left it upon yourself to either keep it or remove it. Who would want a silly sticker on their car!
  17. Can we either change the forum name to Aurion or Avalon/Aurion? Thanks.
  18. Press Release: "Aurion Sports Concept What would the ultimate sports version of a Toyota Aurion look like? The Aurion Sports Concept is the answer - a powerful sports sedan, visually inspired by Toyota's F1 race cars. It balances overt, muscular styling features with a technology feel - a truly modern performance concept. The 20 inch wheels and performance brakes fill the wheel arches creating an awesome stance. Its bright red paint scheme contrasts with the menacing, dark accents for a truly dramatic effect. The Aurion Sports Concept takes Toyota to a new level in the performance game. " A Sneak Preview: The car will be at the Australian International Motor Show at Darling Harbour.

  20. As with the Carsguide article...... Aurion Forum Article i would say there is no chance of the Aurion coming with a manual transmission The engine that will be in the Aurion is a 2GR-FE. This engine is applied to the following vehicles around the world: 2006 Toyota Avalon 2006 Toyota RAV4 V6 2007 Toyota Camry V6 2007 Lexus ES 350 2007 Lexus RX 350 (The 2GR-FE is a 3.5 L (3456 cc) version. Bore remains at 94 mm but stroke is reduced to 83 mm. Output is approximately 268 hp (200 kW) at 6200 rpm with 248 ft.lbf (336 Nm) of torque at 4700 rpm. This version features Toyota's "dual-VVT-i", variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust cams) A derivative of the above engine is the 2GR-FSE and is applied to the following vehicles: 2006 Toyota Crown Athlete (Japan) 2006 Lexus GS 350 (Japan) 2006 Lexus GS 450h 2006 Lexus IS 350 (Japan and United States) (The 2GR-FSE engine used in the 2006 Lexus IS 350 incorporates Toyota's D4-S twin injection system. This system combines gasoline direct injection with traditional port injection. Using direct injection and port injection simultaneously facilitates more precise mixing of air and fuel under low and medium load conditions for greater efficiency, while high load conditions dictate the use of direct injection alone for maximum power. The 2GR-FE engine is rated at 315 hp (232 kW) at 6400 rpm and 377 Nm (277 ft.lbf) at 4800 rpm.) The above desciptions were taken from Wikipedia Toyota GR Engines(Wikipedia) Of all the above cars with the above engines none have been developed with a manual transmission, so it is very unlikely that Toyota Australia would develop a manual transmission to mate with the 2GR-FE.
