Given that it's off the new car market now, it's unbelieavably impossible to look for detailed specs of the car so i'm hoping one of the TRD owners i here can tell me...

what is the stock tyre & wheel size (incl offset) of the TRD Aurion?

I just found a set of wheels i like but i want to compare the dimensional differences against the TRD stockie - thanks for your precious help! =)

Also does anybody know if you can fit TRD springs onto stock Prodigy shocks?

hey guys we recently upgraded the family car to a kluger so the ol' aurion is now my daily driver (read: toy) lol

to be honest i thought the stock aurion speakers is actually quite impressive (compared to other stockies I've heard of) but as with anything, there's always room for improvement and hence i'm considering a 6x9 speaker upgrade (allround) on my Prodigy.

can anybody tell me how much space is available on the doors and rear parcel shelf so that when I look at the speaker specs I can check what their mounting depth requires to ensure it won't foul against panels/trim etc?

i'm also assuming that i can hook up my new 6x9's using the existing wiring leads that is currently connected to the stock speakers (rather than using the leads that come with the new speakers)? I don't suppose they make any noticeable difference anyway since i'm not using an amp yeah?

I'm considering an upgrade to the Fly Audio satnav like Hado's, but just to keep my options open does anybody know if there are aftermarket dbl-DIN head unit replacements that is compatible with the Kluger's steering wheel controls (2010 model)?

One example i've come across so far is the Follow-Me satnav (which i was told is a rebadged aftermarket model from Eclipse AVN4400?)

are they doing that as an aftermarket fitment on your factory seats or is that part of the options package? how much extra did they charge you for that? i wonder if they'd be willing to do that on the Altitude...hmmm

My car service schedule is 15000km or 9 months which every comes first. Not sure about your cars schedule but it sounds fairly reasonable to me... I know I got a letter after 6 months just to remind me that the 9 month was nearing.

My car is scheduled for 15,000 or 1 year intervals.

Furthermore, my manual says every 12 months or 15000km unless it's under severe operating conditions

If I were them I'd like to make sure you were taking care of your car too, even 4000k can be a lot of wear on an engine depending on how it's driven. Do you expect them to just take your word that the car was being properly cared for?

well it's always driven with a baby on board so it's never thrashed in any way (i can't remember when was the last time it rev'd past 3500rpm)

so should i stick to what the manual says, or what the dealer says?

i agree with scootastaxisx6 - the dealer will find any nooks & crannies to rape extra $ from you and i suspect this is one of them

would it be something worth taking up with consumer affairs (in case they insist my warranty relies on it, despite the manual saying that it's 12mths/15000kms?)

well it's been nearly 6 months since we bought our car and it's only done about 4000kms (driven 3 days a week)

one thing i'm particularly annoyed about (and one which was not mentioned to us when we purchased our car) is that apparently Toyota will void your factory warranty if your car is not serviced every 6 months or 10,000 kms (whichever comes first...) Does this sound right? In essence they are locking you in for a couple hundred dollars a year just in servicing costs alone - smells like a rort if you ask me....?!

yeah that's it - i could've sworn i've seen that wheel from a GMAX catalogue sometime ago (they do have other wheels that look exactly the same as each other - ie GMAX Heritage)

ok folks I've committed myself on a 20" wheel now, but i've been trawlling around search results for hours and i still have not been able to make any progress on a decision re tires...

is there a website that has a comparison chart on which tyre models have the appropriate load rating for a 20" on the Aurion etc? so far i've only come across some Nankangs and Dunlop but i know there's gotta be much more than that...?

decision on cost can come later but i just want to know what's out there at the moment, not what the salesmen is pushing at me...

as far as styling is concerned I can't imagine there'd be a significant difference between the asian market compared to what we're about to get.

IMO they look a bit like the new Honda Accord V6... (whether that is a good or a bad thing, i guess it's up to you)

I still haven't gotten used to the new rear light cluster treatment, it's a bit more 'camry'-ish than lexus-ish (again, just my opinion)

from previous discussions on this topic it was mentioned that the new Aurions will have some added features to the current lineup...not sure if these feature updates will apply to the Aus market, but if it does then it will affect resale for sure

i can confirm that is the sound effect coming from ABS in operation...but gee i gotta say, it's unusually louder than most other ABS-equipped cars that I've driven on.

this is exactly the review i needed... i was THIS close to buying the Dig Options unit before i saw the Auspack, but i held off on my decision until a review of the Dig Options unit came up. now that there's a few more guys who has it installed, i'm waiting for their detailed feedback on the usability / quality before making my decision.

Yes DUB, i am using the king spring and it came out quite nice i think... i can carry full load and turn steering wheel full lock and it won't touching the inside guard. it feels good
