I sense some TRD accents in that front bumper. Love the contrast of the dash as well. Shame it is a I4 though.

... Though, with that massive front cut out in the bumper, you can fit a nice long intercooler for a turbo upgrade.

Interesting how the whole of the rear window goes down, not just the square bit?

well wont be upgrading when it get released here

I wont either...but if the Sportivo grill, front or rear bumper is any better I may swap.

those tail lights have to go. theyre boring compared to the current model tail lights. however, the pics above being a camry, the tail lights may stay the same as the current aussie model (hopefully)

with the trd influences in the front fender around the fog lights, i think the sportivo is bound to be looking quite snazzy

Thats not the rear window, I think its just the sunshade. I wont be upgrading either, only reason I would upgrade is if they changed to car to RWD or AWD.

Got any Sportivo pics??

Sportivo pics wouldn't be available, as a Sportivo grade, or something similar to it, isn't available in Asian markets. So, we'll have to wait for Aussie spy shots, if we can find any.

I4 versions of the Camry are the most popular in the South East Asian/ Asian markets, due to their lower taxes (e.g. in Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand, cars are taxed according to their engine size.).

Boring fact: The pictures shown in the OP is the Chinese spec model, as China (Excluding Taiwan.) is the only market where locally manufactured cars have Chinese character badges.

Are you all sure it's an Aurion and East Asia???

Thai's drive on the same side of the road as Australian. That Camry is left hand drive and has only 1 pipe too.

I think that was a 4 cylinder you were looking at. Note the 16V on the engine

The front looks too much like the Honda Accord.

You beat me to it. I think I'd rather the Accord though...

Since the 2006 calendar year, the Asian/SEA Camry and Aussie-built Aurion shares the same exterior & interior styling, with (Mostly minor) differences in features (Such as full chrome grille, power shoulder seat control & Tricolor Optitron gauges to name a few.). Unique to the Aussie Aurion are the Sportivo grades & the now defunct TRD version.

Speaking of East Asia (Particularly the ASEAN region), Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam & the Phillipines are Left Hand Drive.

Also, some markets get the 2GR-FE, while some don't.

The Taiwanese/ Chinese/ SEA Camry had different styling from what the rest of the world got since 2001.

Interior & gizmos look identical to the current presara in australia.

The tail light are ugly, the current lights on the aurion are a simpler and neater design.

Hopefully the engine stays the same!. Don't ask me why but i would be annoyed if they made the engine stronger in that model. Since its not exactly a brand "new" different model. They just added different front bumper, Tail light.

The interior is different than the ones we currently have in the middle east, But I'm fine with that.
