  2. yea i thought of doing it that way.. but its all good, doesnt really worry me, only thing thats wrong is the open door light stays on all the time, maybe sometime down the track ill see a auto lecky but till then it'll be right. Thanks guys Tom
  3. english please? i think you were saying that a Hyundai is better than your corolla..... Blasphemy! yeah... i was wondering what exactly he had said too. That English is definitely not correct. 'Excel' and 'performance' shouldn't be used in the same sentence. hahaha good call, but I'm not sure if that exhuast tip will be legal, i know i read something about cars can't have red or blue lights on the front or top of the car... but im guessing that doesn't count the back :S even so, they shouldn't be legal... If i was a cop and saw an excel with this on it i'd defect it straight away... lol
  4. yea its never easy to explain electric curcuits over the net, what do you guys mean you didnt have to cut or solder? Tom
  5. ok so heres my problem, i got the door sills from the group buy done by evo7, they look great, especially at night :D but...they all work but the open door light is always on my dash now, (seeing as i messed with the sensor wires..) the right hand door sills wouldnt turn off when i close the door if i connected both ends of the sensor wire to the black wire going to the sills... so i just attach one end of the cut sensor wire and they work? plus when i connect it all up again properly the door open light on my dash stays on, meaning the interior light and the central locking have gone wierd too... any ideas? im thinking i might just have to go see an auto lecky..seeing as ive already blown a fuse messing with it lol Thanks Tom
  6. haha yea im the same, every time i see him on the news addressing an important matter, all i can hear is, I AM THE GOVONATOR!! GET DOWN!!! haha but yea arnie would win..
  7. so this is the front of my car now, that grille is from toyota genuine, corolla sports grille part no. TO-0842312820, cost me $200 odd eyelids from carmate...would never deal with them again though hope that helps Tom
  8. well my front end almost looks the same as blink kid seek's, and i only just got it all fitted so im pretty happy with the new eyelids, grille and badge :D major improvement from stock, ill post pics up tomorrow and get the part number for darkmoles...still got the reciept somewhere around here... Tom
  9. ROFFLPMSL!!!!! "sportier" my car is "sportier" cause it has a stick badge on it ......love it!! only cost me $5.50 to get a "sportier" look. yea good one
  10. well i have trd badges on the back and on the grille... their not genuine, just bought them off ebay, makes the car look sportier i think :P
  11. hey man, i've only just started modding my corolla too, the trd grille from toyota costs like $500+ being shipped from japan, i bought a sportivo grille from toyota parts for $200, its getting painted now and im fitting it tomorrow :D so that was the best deal i found. i know some other shops make them too , worth looking into...I've had problems with carmate though, so be careful... Tom
  12. Hey mate, I was having the same problem finding a sportivo kit for a decent price, luckily i found a second hand kit that I'm in the process of getting, but when i talked to the toyota dealer he told me about 1200 or so for the kit, but they will be stopping production of them soon, making it very hard to find any spares etc.
  13. Enforcing it by law would be a good way to force rubbish cars off the road. There's still plenty of public transport. yea true, but thats only in the cities, in places away from the cities like where i am there is hardly any public transport and badly built roads, and that is the place where most of these older, less safe cars are, in rural area's. The kind of area's where everyone has a landcruiser or vs commodore ute, and i get strange looks for having a modded corolla lol but i do agree with what your saying
  14. i agree with that^^ But the thing is not every1 can afford to buy decent cars with better safetly ratings...this is the reason alot of ppl drive around with unrepaired damage on their cars really, very true but unrealistic. Maybe a system like in sweden would work well, with everyone having to pass an advanced drivers course and be able to perform handbrake turns and J turns, I did an advanced drivers course and it helped. I am also a P plater but in QLD i got my P's before the new laws came in so I dont have to display them, one night i finished work and on my way home (highway amongst cain farms) I decided i wanted to see what the rolla could do, with only 1 personon the road behind me i planted it... got to 140 and the red and blue lights came on.. 3 months off the road... bugger.. My 2c Tom
  15. ohh yea they dont look that dirty...ur wheels do though haha
