hey ppl, i was searching around on the net and happened to come across this little thingy, :) now i remember reading sumwhere on this forum that the reason y some ppl are experiencing the shifting problem from first to second whilst at high rpms is bcoz the clutch doesnt disengage enough from something enough, well this little item seems to solve that problem.. any1 heard of this b4? or think it would work? :) LINK

hey guys, just rang around a few places and got some rough figures on clutch prices and installs for the sportivo need some opinions and maybe a few people who have gone down that path can give a few tips.. for example i askd how much to install the clutch on the car, didnt ask whether any bearings or anything like that was included or if they have to machine anything, as i dnt know what has to be done...so any help would be much appreciated most prices have been around the $380 for the clutch and $400 for the install this is the exedy heavy duty clutch model number TYK-7334HD btw any recommendations on whether or not this is a good clutch would be good too, exedy also have the heavy duty cushion button clutch, and the quotes i was getting were around $520.. then they have the sports ceramic clutch with quotes going up to around $650 any help much appreciated

iv seen that stivo in hoxton park! ye ive seen him around a few times too...last spotted him on the corner of mimosa rd and quarry rd....turning towards stocklands....nice car..always clean LOL

How much would this "Shift" CAI setup cost, in comparison to the TRD CAI? ive got the shift cai installed with the apexi pod...when they installed it they took out my foggie...but i squishd it bak in there...so if ur worried about that...u can fit the larer pods in no problems...just gotta push everything around a bit...

ok here is the story....i was on my way home and the subs were pumping, every now and then the sound of lift would cut over the sound from the speakers, :D i was very happy, believing i was the only one in my "hood" with a good looking sportivo....well well well to my disappointment...just 2 streets from my house...like 500metres was a very nice looking car...which i found out, is parked there all the time, according to my sister and mum who walk past it every nite... it has the kit from that TRC Tuning site that i postd up the link to a while back.... i no longer feel that cool driving my car around...i am now in the process of searching the internet for anything that will make my car cool again.. :( maybe a turbo of some sort :P sorry about the low qualitity...pics taken from phone.

Like the style heaps! What brand/model are they? I would have gotten them in a different colour though. And the lowered stance makes a BIG difference! Overall 8/10 theyre from Big O Tyres in Moorebank.... they had them in gold too..but only 16s...mine are 17s B) u can get some reali nice ones from ozzy tyres....they have them in 18s too and in shadow chrome....thats wat i was guna get..but next time i change the tyres ill change the wheels too :P Big O Tyres Ozzy Tyres i have my HSC on during the that time...but ill probly take a bit of time off, from studying , to come see all the rollas.... cya soon:)

spotted today red stivo....prefacelft, look lowered and and had twin muffler tips, at livo OPORTOS...i was the driver from the blak one...:) then on the way home at about 2-2.30am silver stivo looked stockish...then black levin came round and my mate sed he just raced him....we all turnd right onto parra road and bang the race was on ...old corolla..new levin...mates nx...and my stivo... i fink rego on the levin was TTT:888 or sumfing like dat...

hey all i wanted to know what size throttle body the corolla sportivo has, face lift and pre-facelift. cause i got my cai on my facelift and had to get an adapter for it because the pipe was 2.75" and my throttle body was 3". from the pics of ppls engine bays it looks like u all just used a straight pipe, no adapters. Is it that my piping is too small? or i might be blessed with a over size throttle body :P

hi all, ive searched everywhere and cant seem to find it, i want to know when i connect the cai to my sportivo, which air hoses are left and which ones are connected to what? do i need to block any off. i tried to install it already and when i started the car it had a very low and unhealthy idle. didnt know wat was wrong so i turned it off and connected the stock airbox back in, they only thing that i connected to my cai was the air flow sensor. i dnt know wat to do with the other hoses and all of that. any help would be appreciated.

saw a black pre-facelift stivo on woodville road today at around 4-4.30pm, went in front of me and gave me the beep and wave. it had white rims and the i think the plates spelt SWEET. i was in my facelift stivo with 3 mates in the car. :)

hey thanks, i was thinking about the bonnet protectors and headlight covers thank for ur opinion, i didnt think i really needed them. thats a smart thing to do ask for a full tank, never thought of that, thanks guys

hey i wanted everyones opinion on whether ive got a good deal, currently the dealer is offering me a 05 august/september build black sportivo with carpet mats, headlight protectors, bonnet protector, and tinted windows, all for $27.5 do u think i should try and get anyfing else included? what do you think about the headlight and bonnet protectors, do i really need them?
