  1. For that price, options, servicing, and all the other costs associated with the car, its pretty good. I'd agree the ZZT-231 is probably u next best option unless ur like me and prefer four doors.

Civic Type R - same sorta thing but more and more money too (talkin EP3 or even EK9 if u can find one)

    Then you've got the assortment:

Holden Astra, Ford Focus, Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, Mazda 3

You could possibly go German with A3, C-class or 3 Series but would get no perf for the money

Otherwise the new corolla seems to be quite a hit on here but u'd miss Lift.

If the Sportivo is what you really want just wait a while and see what comes up

  2. hey and welcome

my first mod was some fresh rubber as it still had the originals on it.

as tyres are the only thing actually in contact with the road i thought that was a good first mod.

as said previously, so many people to help you here and if you can think of a mod, chances are it has been done before so use the search button.

    have fun modding

  3. Hey guys,

Hopefully this is the correct spot to place this.

I have the 40GB PS3 model and it has the yellow light of death! The motherboard has deceided its had enough which is apparently a big issue with these models.

I have rang around and searched all over the internet to find many places that repair them with varying levels of cost and warranty.

Has anyone ever got theirs repaired, where, and how much did it cost?

I heard the best place to get it repaired is the Carribean Markets.

    Thanks

  4. Hey, sorry for replying months later, just haven't kept up with this page!

Sometime around winter the rolla packs on a few kilos! Sorry, bad joke

I have always believed the car to be 1200kg which is 24kg less than the pre-facelift models.

I wouldn't have a clue about the brochure. As I said I got it from the people who had bought the car first. Other than that i'm not too sure what to say

  5. the bitch with the facelifts and the ces cai is that if your near side headlight bulb goes out, you have to completely remove it

I didn't find that with my car. However, i did remove undo the healight a little bit just to get the intake through

Agreed that the facelifts and CES CAI does not go that well together but still is a good fit.

i save more fuel with the cai on my car. thats if i don't plant my foot every time

Yeah the last tank i got 630km when the fuel light came on so thats a bit of an increase. But LIFT plus CAI is awesome.

Once the summer holidays come around ill be cleaning and modding as much as possible!

  6. hey thanks for the tip.

Instead of going to all that trouble, i tried resizing it with another program.

The first one i was using was paint!

but it looks better now. obviously not as good as yours but still alright

    thanks for your help

  7. As Tash said, this incident must have happened at the end of the cruise.

Also a commendable effort to whoever it was staying behind the Territory until they knew it was safe to pass. With all the pressure from people beeping their horns it was sensible as there were many blind corners. (thats not me being sarcastic, its the truth)

Having a 1st and 2nd group with the different driving styles is a good idea like on Sunday.

Other than that i'm not really too sure what to say as i didn't see the incident.

Thanks for organising the cruise Andy and looking forward to the next one.

  8. ha ha, very nice, how long did it take you to edit that together.

I have seen that done by Mystery Guitar Man on youtube and also in an episode of Top Gear.

But yours was good too. Nice work

P.S - Top stuff for the 580K views on youtube

  9. The RevoKnuckle system is sooooo complicated to understand, not even James May knows what it is!

However, from my understanding the system reduces torque steer dramatically and also makes it act a bit like a RWD car.

    Check this website out http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1032432_in-depth-fords-revoknuckle-suspension-and-quaife-lsd-for-the-focus-rs

With only 315 coming to OZ, it looks like it might be hard to even get a test drive but ill be there too!

Ford actually designed this car as a FWD from the start but would be nice if it had been AWD. However with this revoknuckle system it apparently works quite well.

As others have said, hopefully this will spur on Toyota to hurry up with the FT86 and possibly other good cars.

  10. I like the look of it too

A mate of mine has the MRS (JDM version) and had the 1ZZ but swapped it for a 2ZZ and he absolutely loves it.

And if your looking to do track work with it, its not a bad swap.

Not really sure if the parts are difficult to source but with that 2ZZ engine it goes hard especially as its a midship RWD.

Also i saw a review of Best Motoring with the 1ZZ MRS but with the sequential auto and they said it handled well but the 1ZZ engine + that gearbox was quite bad, not so much the engine but the gearbox.

Anyway, Good luck with the buy.
