  1. this would be great feature if someone can find out how to do it , does anyone know who makes the reversing camera for the kluger? there are companies which make reversing camera's that can be switched on while driving forward, so there would be a way of doing this on the kluger as well. I know there will be a safety issue with this but I dont see this as any more distracting than seeing the display screen to check the fuel readings.
  2. sorry forgot to mention , Thats was for a KXR 2WD, 2009 in Melbourne
  3. Paying $620 with CGU, low Km ,nominated Driver insurance
  4. it was a rental trailer so it may just have a fault with its wirings will try again with another trailer and see how I go thanks
  5. Yesterday was the first time I attached a small single axle trailer on to the new KX-r 2WD, when I started off there were no issues, but 5 min down the road the screen started flashing Brakes malfunction , Check ABS, pull over immediately and get it checked by the dealer. off course I did not do it as I was on a Hwy.if the Mrs would have been driving she would have pulled over in the middle of the HWY. It looked like there was something seriously wrong with the brakes. but the brakes on the car were working fine so kept on driving. after I unhoked the trailer everything was back to normal. I would guess it has something to do with the trailer brakes not having ABS. Would'nt think this is normal while pulling a trailer, can someone tell me how to get around this or should I take it to the dealer for some tweaking
  6. there is a signal close to our place which is on a slope so I get to use the function quite often, when i reach the signal I just press the brake, keeping it in drive, till it is time to go , when i relase the brake the hill assist kick in and holds the car for a couple of sec. Have had no problems so far it does the job every time, I got a 09 FWD, but I think all the kluger have this feature, get it checked out by the dealer if it is not happening on your's
  7. Thats fantastic, thanks for that, will let you know how it goes.
  8. Hi Guys, Just looking for some spoon feeding here, could someone give me a step by step guide on how to change the Oil in the kluger, or direct me to someone's topic where it is discussed, sorry about asking such a basic question and taking the topic to a amateur level.
  9. display said I had 32 kms before empty. could get only 55 litre in the tank, so the indicator are way off, but i guess it is better than it being the other way around.
  10. took a drive down to great ocean road from melbourne over the weekend, from start to finish got a avg of 8.5/100km, would have been better had I not got struck in traffic while going and entering the city,Fuel BP 95 oct, tyre 38 psi, was sitting on the speed limit all along the way except when I pushed it upto 140 while overtaking, love the sound of the engine and power, had to keep reminding myself this a big car not a small sedan I used to drive before, great workout for the car, forgot to mention it is a Kx-r, 2 wd, did feel the engine loosing up a little compared to when I got it couple of weeks ago, hoping the engine gets better once I have put in 5000k or more. not long before the first Oil change now, very happy with the performance.

    ENGINE COVER

New Kluger owner, got a lot of question, as you can tell. does taking the engine cover off have any benefits or drawbacks, One I can think off is it would keep the engine cooler , but does the engine cover have any function other than to hide the engine? and maybe stop you touching the engine and burning your hand.
  12. picked up my KX-R on the weekend ,was going through the manual it does say the car should lock automatically after 30 sec if you dont lock it , mine does'nt, tested it couple of time, did I miss read this or do I need to take it back to the dealer, or this funtion only on the KX-S & GRANDE.
  13. Picked up my new KX-R FWD 7 seats on friday in black, with mats, rear cargo mat, mud flaps, on road 41.8K, 2 weeks wait
  14. Where did you get that quote from & does that include any accessories? No accessories included, too much for my budget , bought a KX-R seven seater FWD instead with car mats, rear cargo mat, mud flaps, rest of the stuff I will buy after market,
  15. did a few sharp turn when accerating hard on round about , was pushing it more than normal driving conditions, was happy with the results, it really stuck on the road, very little body roll as well as compared with other SUV, and this was a FWD. happy with it
