18s!!!!!!!!!111!!! Man 17s look too small these days. 18s are even looking small after a while but I still get a smile on my face now and again when I see my car. If I got 17s I'd probly look at it thinking "I wish I got 18s"

My record was 8 hrs including stops back in my dumb driving years. Too many speed cameras now. On speed limit expect about 10 - 11hrs plus stops plus road works (which are always going on somewhere on pacific hwy) Dont go new england - its a goat trail. Lost my exhaust on my beemer the only time I took it and trip takes 14hrs.

Super lows are only a 40-50mm drop. Ultra lows are the 60-70mm ones but Ive had very low cars in the past and am a bit old for the ride quality now. Pick out the wheel u want in silver then get a good powder coater and some colour charts and get something one of a kind. I seen some rims that were powder coated black with a heavy gold metallic flake through them. Looked awesome. Im gunna powder coat my diablo's when I got some spare cash. Two mortgages seem to chew cash pretty quick :(

18s are legal in QLD. Go and get the modifications guidelines from the registry. It states that overall tyre size can not be made larger by more than 15mm. There is 12mm difference between 215/35/18 and standard tyes. This throws the speedo out by less than 2 kms at 100km/h. It is perfectly legal to have these in QLD. The one inch rule applies to NSW. Also not to forget that modifications are only guidelines. An engineer can approve 20s on a corrolla if all the right steps are taken - ie: enough clearance, bigger brakes to compensate for longer stopping distances, etc. Just like engine swaps - not legal except with engineers report. I can get the exact wording of mods from the book if you like? I keep it in my centre consule as ammunition in case I get pulled over in NSW and stuff.

215/35/18's on superlows. Got them done at same time. Never scrubbed, bottomed out or anything. No guard modification. Have moved houses and had it fully loaded with the back guard over the tyre and no scrubbage. Just be super careful of gutters! THEY BITE HARD! (lucky I havent encountered this yet)

mak, you buying it brand new or second hand? if brand new perhaps the number difference is due to the emitions law and the 8kW less the engine has? I dunno im kinda lost.

Dammit they stole my idea... I was gunna paint my wheels clear! :P Man theyd be a bitch to clean on the inside. Break dust would definitely not be your friend. The wheels on that Toyota concept car that teenagers designed had rims with green tinted clear bits on them and they looked ok tho.

Man that thing is seriously hot looking! Toyota have got all the right elements in this car. From the looks of what I've read its coming out. 20 inch tho I doubt it. Probly 18s.

hahaha thats awesome. Really? :) yer really? I thought Auris was the new international name for the hatch where as corolla would remain for the sedan and wagon. It makes sence to change it to Auris as it fits between Aurion and Yaris. Then again Camry kept its name. Who cares if it doesnt get names Auris here all the better coz itll be like having Runx number plates.

I got a set in the garage. Decided to hold on to mine incase I wanna keep my rims for my next car. Just something to thing about.

I run 215/35/18 which throw the overall diameter of wheel and tyre by 12mm. QLD law allows you to go up to 15mm over. I worked it out and it means at 100km/h I am really doing 102. Can't even tell performance wise.

I wonder if we'll get the 1.5L or the AWD here? Both would be pretty doggy I guess. Unless the AWD has a big snail attached :D
