  1. Final year mechatronic engineering student by day and casual filler by night (at coles) . . . And everything in between B)
  2. I just finished replacing my speakers with pioneer ones, and both the front and back come with tweeters. The camry has a tweeter on each front side just behind the side mirrors. My question is will i get better sound quality with or without these extra tweeters? If it even matters at all. Thanks in advance :D
  3. Since we're on the topic of intakes, how much air does the stock air intake get from behind the headlights? Im guessing not much at all, every other path is blocked. I can see why addy287 would get better response, coz there is actually more air and it is colder therefore higher density. The stock setup is like sucking on a straw that's bent at the end.
  4. Your problem sounds fuel related Tony, I would say you need a new fuel filter and you might want to check your fuel lines as well. The combination of steep incline and pulling a caravan is probably maximum fuel usage senario. The engine cuts out coz not enough fuel being delivered to clim the incline while pulling the trailer. Another possibility is the fuel pump.
  5. I was thinking more along the lines of something like this : http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Uras-body-kit-bumpe...%3A1%7C294%3A50 But thanks for your pics, they put the width into perspective for me. Ive seen these before and ive got in contact with Extreme dimensions around april? :D Im wondering how much it would cost to ship over here, you guys know around how much, or a company i can call to ask? Thanks for all your replies guys, really help :D
  6. Seeing how your car has that many Ks on it, the problem could very easily be a mechanical one. Im no expert on ACs but it could be that the comressor is giving way or that the clutch is worn out which would explain it working sometimes and others not. For it to be a problem with a sensor you gotta start noticing a patter, otherwise im not sure how a sensor or a wiring fault could cause this (again i could be completely wrong). Ill look into compressors for you and give you a proper answer once i get a chance
  7. no worries, take your time with them hey...Im broke azzz right now so i cant do anything till i get paid anyway <_<
  8. wow 300 bucks...is it better quality than the ones on ebay or?
  9. Have you checked all your fuses? including the ones under the hood? If not make sure you check these before you go any further as these are easiest and cheapest to fix.
  10. Wlcome to the club mate :D If you're looking to start servicing your car on your own then i suggest you invest in a haynes manual, they're great for all the general servicing even some advanced jobs. Check they're website out at haynes.com.au and find your car model. Hope this helps
  11. Yea i think i know wat you mean ive seen it myself That would be great :D Go out and do it now! hehehe jks Its good to see someone else been thinking about it so im not crazy, but if u could get those pics it would be a big help :D
  12. Well exams are over and its time for me to start my next big project...my front bumper. Im wondering whether anyone out there has tried to fit the skyline bumper from the 98 models since the fronts are similar? I know some aftermarket front bumpers do actually use the R34 bumpers, i will be looking out for these bumpers at the wreckers i just wanted to know whether ill be wasting my time or not ^_^
  13. Welcome to the site :D, nice and clean looking corolla. What made u sell the liberty?

  16. nice, how much u spending on those rims+tyres if u dun mind me askin
  17. That kit looks awesome, what color's your camry?
  18. Im pretty sure its a straight swap, these things fit over your current spedo, so as long as the scale starts at the same place then it should just be a direct swap. To install them you actually have to ground it and give it some power (12V) and make a place for the switch. Heres a link on the installation instructions http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748373/6 Note this is for GEN4 camry but the instructions should still apply to yours :)
  19. Welcome mate, i know what you mean about the exams...i cant wait to get them over and done with. Working night shifts while exams are...now thats intense :P
  20. Dunno about fitting ones in from other cars, but you can probably find out...jus head to a junk yard and compare sizes and bolt holes. An alternative would be to get reverse glow gauges, they look pretty nice once u put them in...only down side is that mph are on the outside if u dont mind that then i reckon u should go for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-96-TOYOT...sQ5fAccessories heres a link from a quick search on ebay on "reverse glow gauges camry 96" hope this helps :D
  21. These arent in australia and they're not trd or anything like that but i came accross these recently hope it helps http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...T&viewitem= and if u search for trunk lips you'll findem on there as well i came accross a couple but lost the links
  22. Thanks I wouldnt exactly call it a project since its my everyday drive...but my aim is to make something unique out of it in both looks and performance...so that when a heavyweight pulls up by me i can give them a run for thier money :D
