  1. Guys generally prefer performance whereas girls prefer appearance, so if the guys could fix up their appearance then maybe they will attract more attention.

well not all girls are that superficial..........*cough, cough*

i think every guy i have met her on tocau are great guys and their passion towards their cars is awesome......it shows they can care about something other then themselves. i would rather a man into cars and cars performance then a man into himself anyday !!!!

i think no bloke on here needs to change themsleves..........i think they need to find a chick with similar interests they can enjoy together. like chicks here on tocau they love their cars as much as them.

    :D

interesting point...but as there is no set formula for love....i hope ur match making works.. :)

  2. Cool. A/P Alex Khromyhk is my supervisor, and i have collaborations with Roy Hall and Paul Young

You suda stayed at UQ, not sure if they do any peptide work at the new nano tech bldg but i went there today to visit their animal house, and its a pretty sweet place. On par with IMB

Ya..i would love to..mm..travelling between gold coast and brisbane sux..I did a research project with Roy Hall before..and had paul young for a few lecturer during my undergrad study....

by the way dave..sorry for going off topic here..haha :P

  3. I think if I were in the market for a small car rocket i'd be holding my breath to see if HSV will import the Corsa turbo. I know they are looking at them. Think Holden Barina with a 147kW 1.8 turbo in it with all the usual add ons (bigger rims, kit, handling). Currently the only Corsa onsale in Aus is the Holden Tiagra (which wouldnt be a bad car if it had some balls).

If HSV do this they will own the small car performance market.

Now that i would consider! i a opel fan i had a opel corsa 2lt turbo and i wish i could do the same here!

My second car was a 98 N15 Pulsar Q, now its spose to be the sporty (aside from the SSS), luxury Pulsar and it still had drums.... I was dissappointed that in 2004 when i brought my CH Lancer it still had drums. But it seems Mitsu have woken up and leaped adhead of most if not all its competition with the 2.4 Mivec ES, in almost every category.

Appart from in the fuel consumption area. New 2.4 mivec has combined use of almost 10L / 100km. This is approx 2 litres more than any other car in the class. Some are even pushing 7L/100km. Still think the 2.4 is a good idea?

    Mitsubishi 2.4 ES:

    + ABS & EBD

    + electric windows and mirrors

    + better interior trim

    + 5/10 warrenty

    + cruise control

    - bad fuel consumption

= Sh!ts over competition :toast: (so yes)

Sure does put the Corolla, Focus, Astra, Mazda3 in their place in standard equipment for the price

Iv seen a few lancer 2.4's really give the SP23 a hopeless hiding!

    i got a 2.4 ES back in april..its a decent car..but the fuel consumption..really sux...

  4. I've been buried by work at the moment. Research proposal due in and confirmation seminar at the end of the month... :(

I'm just mainly concerned about people hitting your car by accident while on the track and misjudging corners and coming off the tracks and stuff...don't want my new baby scratched..haha.. :P

  5. please help me to remove the door skin. i don't know how to do it and install the 2 way 6.5 speakers.

    thanks

    TRD

There are 3 screws in the door which u must remove. The first screw is behind a little plastic clip on the thing(no idea what it is called) that u pull to open your door. In order to remove the 2nd and 3rd screw you must remove the arm rest thing on your door. Just apply constant pressure and it will come off. After removing all 3 screws. Just pull the door skin toward you..applying constant pressure and it should come off. I'm not sure if this makes any sense..but if u got any more question just pm me..

  6. K&N filter is the same for both 1zz and 2zz engines as mentioned. I've got one on my car and I noticed an improvement in the car's performance albeit a small one. Light throttle response is better as well as when your cruising you use less throttle and it seems more effortless to sit on 100kph on the freeway. CES and I are currently (once exhaust production is up and running) trying to develop a replacement pipe for the air pick up for the standard air box. We will test it on the dyno etc to make sure it is effective and try to achieve a good increase in power with it. Will post results when they are available.

    Cheers Silvabullit. :D

dudes..I bought a K&N filter last night for 100bucks...part no 33-2252...and it doesn't fit in the airbox...i.e cant close the lid :(

I search the part # from K&N site and that is the part # they suggested.

Its about 10mm higher tnan the stock..

Now I have to return it for replacement..

anyone knows the correct K&N panel filter part# for 1zzfe built nov2001?

    Thanks

It will fit. I had that problem when i first bought my panel filter too. U just need to apply some pressure when trying to close the airbox. The rubber edging on the K&N filter will flex a bit and it will fit. Just need to apply some pressure.

    thanks bro..!!

WOHOOO...YES FINALLY GOT IT IN!!! 33-2252 It is ;)

    No probs.. ;)
