  1. I had work man... I realised after I got home on Friday night.

The only day I had work in 2 weeks. (I was relieving for someone else and I called off my shifts due to exams) <_<

And how I regret not going on the cruise...

Wow, what did I miss out on??

And you fell in to a ditch!?!?!?

well if anyone is interested or hasnt had enough driving we can always take it up north for a run in bobbin head point and out thru to akuma bay..

i dont mind going if anyone is up for it...

if we do we will be heading up carlingford way so it would be good to pick up ELEGNT.

If I remember correctly, 3l3GNT has another meet on tonight.. :)

But nice meeting all of you! I'd like to thank Guni for his tow strap, Mick for his tow hook, and the white Aurion for pulling me out of the ditch - sorry I didn't get your name. :)

    Young: Where were you?

    Kenneth: No worries. Pleasure.

  3. Is it possible to change out the stock wheel nuts to aftermarket ones? (Think you can't)

But if you can, what size are they?

No won't fit the stock wheels. Stock wheels use a shank type nut whereas these are conical tapered nuts.

I have listed the sizes of the thread in the first post.

Wheel nuts are for aftermarket wheels.

Pretty much only the stock nuts can go with stock wheels?

  4. Water damage such as your Aurion should be in a separate category.

Like you said, it didn't jeopardise the structural integraty of the vehicle. Therefore, it was just a "small fix".

Whereas, some of the cars with a more serious damage to the body and yet doesn't classify for ...

"A statutory write-off is a vehicle that is damaged to the extent that it could not be returned to a servicable or roadworthy state - ie there is sufficient unrepairable chassis damage, or damage that cannot be repaired without contravening ADRs. The vehicle identification number is struck from the records and as such can never be re-registered, however servicable components that are either repairable or undamaged can be swapped into another chassis." - Hiro

I don't think they should be allowed to re-register. (At least until a system has been devised to address the issue of dodgy repairs"

  5. The reason why I asked was because I've seen several around with it. And it appears to me as though it may have been an option at some stage.

How much does it cost for ProSeat to have them in leather? And the leather cover just slips over the standard seats?

  6. Off another forum member... Haha!

@ Sunny, excellent collection! Let us know when you are fitting the things on yea?

Funny mate , you have had these goddies for months and not put them on ....

Do it soon before you change your mind and start selling them.. :spiteful:

On a diff sub , where did you get the TRD CAI from ? Appears brand new but i'm sure i read here they have been discontinued.

  7. I second that motion. :yahoo:

    Hi All,

Just hoping if we could have a dedicated thread for race track times. I've noticed that the 400m times are pinned in the corolla section, could we also have one for Race tracks?

A few of the blokes / gals have driven on Winton , Wakefield, Queensland Race Way etc. I think it would be a nice contrast along with the 400M timings.

    What say yous?

    Cheers,

    Jules

  8. Just a question for you Celica owners (or even anyone who knows!).

I've seen ZZT231 Celicas with leather sports seats? Was that ever an option at one stage?

I've looked through redbook.com and they didn't say anything about them.

  9. I'm going off topic myself, but what good brake fluids are there? Gotta do my service this Friday and I want to change it.

I'm using a Penrite Sin something brake fluid, good for a 300ºC dry boiling point and cheaper than Motul.

As for your brake question, don't bother with the slots. Stock rotors and a front brake pad that is good to 600ºC will cover you for the odd trip to the track. The rears are fine with stock pads they don't get hot enough.

You are right, the idea of nice looking slots behind wheels definitely appeals to me.

How much of that Penrite Sin brake fluid do I need for a service? And roughly how much do they go for?

    I'll go grab some...

  10. RDA use cheaper metal than the DBA Street series...

Don't bother taking it out to the track with a semi-aggressive pad, it'll die

What would be your some ideal combos between pads and rotors for the tracks, obviously not week in week out, but say a few times a year?
